Win-Cons for mono Blue energy?
Standard Deck Help forum

I originallly had a Dimir Energy deck planned out but I decided to go mono blue to save money on lands since I'm pretty broke as a highschool sophmore but I can't think of a good win con. I've got Multiform Wonder and Electrostatic Pummeler so I was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions?

@NineKoala
Thank you so much for the suggestions! For the part if I should do the Dmir control/midrange deck, I think I just might. The only thing is I'm taking my little brothers to FNMs so if I do use a deck I'd like it to be mostly optimal. Do you think it could be? Mostly things would pop off turn 6 so maybe with those lands it would be fine?

Well as optimal as a deck could be on a budget lol

I have a playset of Sunken Hollow and Choked Estuary I could trade for you if you still want to go dimir.

Kaneki___Ken actually I would say it depends on your average cmc if you need the optimal duals and if you have any dual colored or a spell that requires a two of a color and it's cmc if you need duals at all in your deck. That of course was from a budget pov, so if you can get the duals go for it but your deck should still work with out it. For example if you have any counters magic that requires 2 blue, such as Broken Concentration, Void Shatter, Summary Dismissal, and so on, then you probably want to either have duals or more islands than swamps. Or if you are running black removal that costs at least 2 black such as Murder, Essence Extraction, Ruinous Path and so on have more swamps than islands. But if you have fairly equal distribution of color, have spells that can be played early but need two of one color and the previous point is tru, and/or have multicolored spells try to get the duals especially if the multicolors are low cmc.

I think I've decided to go with Mono-blue. It just feels smoother you know? Thanks for all your help with this deck. It means a lot.

Rise from the Tides. It's a great alternative win con, especially for Blue. Nothing says loving like a whole mess of zombies.

There's Aethersquall Ancient, Confiscation Coup since its an energy deck, Sphinx of the Final Word if you're planning on control. I'm actually a junior in highschool with a job, but its all for college, my boss plays MTG and I told him I wanted to make a izzet infinite deck for standard as my first standard deck but was worried b/c I had no money for the land and he said to just use basics and if I wanted the uncommom land. I did what he said and currently its a pretty ok deck: it won't take first @FNM b/c it doesn't the probability to but the means for it are there(I get the draws 2nd game but not the 3rd). Go for dimir let me know if its control b/c I can really help then.
