Abundant Growth or Verdant Haven?

Both are very good mana fixers for people on a budget like myself. I'm wondering which one would be better, and I suppose it depends on what you want out of them.

What are everyone else's thoughts (my god, that grammar...)?

I prefer Abundant Growth for the sheer fact you can turn 1 it and make a decent hand a lot better, on top of the card draw. Not to mention card advantage is always a plus.

I prefer Verdant Haven . It doubles the amount of mana that the enchanted land produces, whereas Abundant Growth merely makes it any color. So, in the long run, you will get more out of using Haven. It saved my butt, running three colors in the Gatecrash prerelease.

However, I do prefer the card draw to the lifegain, and Haven costs two more mana. I honestly think they are about equal.

I really think it'll depend on your deck. If you're running a quick aggro deck and want to drop small creatures on turn 1, then maybe Verdant Haven would be best. At the same time, I wouldn't play a colour fixer in a fast aggro deck...

Likewise, Abundant Growth might see some use in a slower deck without as many 1-drops... Like a janky control deck. Mana fixing is probably best found in Farseek for such a deck.

The thesis is this: consider where you are playing these cards, and consider the mana curve if its relevant to your deck.
