Are there limits to Shivan Dragon?

Plain and simple...Shivan Dragon has "R= +1/+0 til end of turn", does not clarify if that is limited to one.
If I have 2x, 5x, or more R available, and Shivan is on the board, can I add that many counters on him per turn if I'm willing to tap that much mana??

Each time you pay the dragon will get +1/+0 until the end of turn. Using 5
would result in a 10/5 Shivan Dragon until the end of the turn.
This ability is nicknamed "Fire breathing".

Yes. Activated abilities can be activated as many times as you have the resources to do so. Note that abilities with the tap symbol can only be activated if the creature is untapped.

Also of notice, you won't place counters on the dragon with his ability, he will just get 1 more attack until end of turn eacht time you activate the ability.

Sweeeeet!!
Thanks guys! Anyone wish to help, as I need...trying to make a R/B Dragon deck, My Fiery Death and could appreciate any, all suggestions! You'll see immediately, it has way more than Standard Deck count of cards... cause I just added all the R/B dragons I could find, to better compare them all, in one spot! I don't plan to keep it that way! I also have some other spells for early control, til I can start bringing out all my flying beasts. So any tips, thanks!

Shivan Dragon gets an extra power per activation. "Extra attack" has a different meaning in MTG.

I like Mordant Dragon better. Same cmc and p/t; but with spot removal built in!

Although some cards Do specify that their ability can only be activated once per turn.
If a card doesn't specify that then it's assumed it can be done more than once.
Shivan Dragon can be pumped multiple times a turn.

Here's the better question...why is Shivan Dragon even in your standard deck?

UpperDeckerTaco Because it is standard legal? This isn't really about how good the deck is, just how the ability on Shivan Dragon works. It is standard legal because it is in the magic origins sampler decks that are distributed to stores even though it is not in packs.

Gidgetimer: UpperDeckerTaco was not saying it wasn't legal, but it's kinda bad nowadays which is why he was saying it.

How many people does it take to answer this simple question?
HolyFalcon says... #2
You can activate as long as you have mana for it, so yes. Also, belongs in Q&A.
