At a crossroads... What to build?

So, I went to an IQ this weekend using Bant Control which sucked going 1-4 and then dropped. So I need a good deck idea for game day...

I don't want something too Tier 1 like Mono Black, something more homebrewy that can still do work in tournaments.

I still want to play U/W/X Control. But Esper is tier 1 and USA just doesn't have that many cards to make it work.

I want to try out Naya Monsters, seeing it has access to a lot of threats. But I've honestly just never been too huge on monsters.

Please help me! USA or Monsters! I need help!

There's lots of cool home brew types going around. I had a blast with my naya card advantage deck with Prophetic Flamespeaker as the main cog. Or go real ballsy and play phenax mill. I dare you

I tried something similar to Phenax mill which was defender ramp into Mind Grind . It was really fun! Thanks for the suggestion mathimus55!

Do USA control. You get to have fun with burn & counterspells :). Good luck on game day I myself will be playing my junk midrange deck in this weekends up coming game day that I played in my stores last game day (Journey into Nyx) and winning going 8-0.

Wow... Nice job Icekingx! That's really a great record! Im also really excited to build this deck. I want it to be like USA Control in Modern. Countering spells and occasionally burn the opponent in the face.

People are really underestimating keranos. That constant 3 to the face can really end games

Definitely VampireArmy... Keranos is boss.

He's the biggest boss that I've seen thus far.

keranos is just an infusion of power on turn 5 right when it's needed. Either he turns on the 3 damage per turn train or he smooths out your draws by (hopefully) drawing past land. He is a beautiful followup to turn 4 wrath, and I think has been underrated for his power.

And thus i think U/W/r control or midrange is certainly the deck to build. You can even put 3 or 4 Mana Confluence and toss 3 Rakdos's Return in the side to rip apart the mirror

So I see that USA Control is the favored deck. So... VampireArmy, Nigeltastic, or Icekingx. Do any of you have a USA Control list for me to look at?
