Okay so I've been running Banisher Priest pretty fine in my Selesnya deck since i included it in my sideboard 3 weeks ago, but then someone suggested Time to Feed on another G/W deck and i was like that might be good, but Pit Fight is cheaper and at instant speed...but more to the point, I'm wondering if i should replace the priest with fighting pit?
Cons: can be bounced by blue, burned by red, killed by black, and just generally not good for offense itself, can only target creatures, can't target hexproof creatures, normal speed
Pros: even if it can't fight threats, it can exile them and the opponent needs to spend a card to get their creature back
Cons: you need a creature to even play the card, even if you have a creature it might not be big enough for the job, can't target hexproof creatures
Pros: can do the same job as priest to a lesser extant, but you don't have to worry about them killing the body and the creature coming back, its instant speed, less expensive cmc than priest
That's all i can think of right now, but yeah, so what does everyone think?
Then I would potentially consider running Pit Fight over Banisher Priest as you're moderately likely to pretty fat creatures between Unflinching Courage , Loxodon Smiter , Spear of Heliod and Boon Satyr 's Bestow. (Also, lifelink.)
Still, adding more of a target to your big creatures by making them have to be alive to fight a creature is risky.

You're playing small creatures... you dont want fight effects...

xlaleclx has a point. You aren't rolling in creatures that will consistently survive a fight naturally so you'll usually be ahead if all the fights are going in your favor. Banisher Priest , also, even if it isn't great at it, can just be a creature if you're playing vs. Control. Still, both have their merits in my book. Good luck with your choice.

Thanks for the input guys, anything and everything is appreciated. My question came from to things like Master of Waves being easily removed by either one, but they can Cyclonic Rift Banisher Priest , but not Pit Fight . Generally i would use it mid to late game as well where i would have a wurm token, a monstrous Fleecemane Lion or a Loxodon Smiter enchanted with either Unflinching Courage or a bestowed Boon Satyr where it would be okay to fight, granted id also be running 2 or 3 instead of a playset like i am the priest.
Dritz you also mentioned Boros Reckoner , but in that scenario id assume the deck would be running at least Magma Jet where the priest might not be as smart a play, or i probably just wouldnt bring it main board at all...granted pit fight might also be irrelevant, in which case i wouldnt bring that in either.

If you wouldn't mind linking the deck I'm sure that would help somewhat. As it is I feel like usually you'll want the Priest as it will more consitently lock out a threat, especially things like Voice of Resurgence , Boros Reckoner and Soldier of the Pantheon which all have a way to deter (or avoid) Pit Fight . I personally play Banisher Priest in the side of Nyan Cat (& friends) although I play Chained to the Rocks and Selesnya Charm in the main because I'm playing Naya.
If you consistently get fat creatures like Loxodon Smiter and your meta isn't loaded with Polukranos, World Eater s or various Gods then it is the preferred option, IMO. If it is then obviously it is the other way 'round.
