Bioshift - under rated card?

I was thinking about heroic decks the other day... both the W/U and W/G versions... and suddenly it hit me!

Bioshift , which hasn't really been looked at since the Evolve mechanic's original hype died down, would work really well in either version of these decks.

2x heroic triggers... put the +1/+1 counters that you're getting from the heroic creatures onto the one that is, getting through unblocked, or that's harder to deal with..., or whatever.

Can also be used to save the counters that are on a creature that's about to be killed, by putting in on another creature... thus eliminating/reducing the loss caused by removal.

Since the heroic ability will resolve before the Bioshift , the counters made when Boishift is cast can also be moved.

Anyone else think this may be an interesting include for heroic decks?

The idea has been floating around for awhile. The issue is that it is solely a heroic enabler, it doesn't add any value. That's not necessarily going to kill it, but Heroic just hasn't been very strong right now, because there are plenty of kill spells floating around.

YES! Bioshift is so underrated. Not to mention with all the removal in the current meta, you can distribute your counters to another creature when one is killed off, and for only one mana.

It's definitely decent, however heroic itself won't be doing anything amazing until theres a reliable way to give it hexproof, or a heroic creature with hexproof comes out. It's simply too easy to kill off, and even still, theres Devour Flesh .

You could use it to move the counters from a creature after the Monstrous ability has resolved, but before the triggered ability resolves.

I just want to say that the original "hype of the Evolve mechanic" hasn't died down, the mechanic lost an entirely crucial support mechanic after the Innistrad block rotated out. Undying what was made that deck so powerful (I used to run it, it was great).

And also, Bioshift is a great card in the right deck. Bant Heroic could totally be a thing, using cards like Dauntless Onslaught and Bioshift to generate tons of value. The problem is, there are tons of answers to heroic decks in the format right now, as well as just stronger decks in general. As long as you build the deck right, I'm sure it can hold it's own at an FNM-level event, however.

I'm a bigtime Simic player, but Bioshift is not a card I use or recommend others use. It can be a cute trick, but I remember trying it out during my early attempts at an Evolve-style deck and it always sat in my hand. And more often than not, when it's deployed, you end up getting 2-for-1'd in the end. It's alright to run it as a one-of as an unexpected combat trick, but any more than that is overkill. It's not a card you want to rely on. In general Simic Charm can serve a lot of the same functions while not giving up a 2-for 1 and adding in a bounce option.
