Ok so I need an idea of the rulings on these two cards. Say that I have Boneyard Wurm or Splinterfright just chilling in my graveyard, say with another 5 creatures or so. While they are in the graveyard, would their power be considered 6 or 0?

I see somebody is looking at a combos with Boneyard Wurm /Splinterfright and Varolz, the Scar-Striped ...
But if you weren't, then there's a freebie hint for you! :D @skitzmaester

If you are looking at Varolz, the Scar-Striped interatcions keep this in mind: "4/15/2013 The number of counters that a cards scavenge ability puts on a creature is based on the cards power as it last existed in the graveyard."

@Ohthenoises: Meaning, for example, its power including itself, since it counts the effect based on power before your creature is exiled. Using the example given, 6 creatures in the graveyard, Scavenge Boneyard Wurm for 2cmc grants you 6 counters on target creature.
Would that be what you are clarifying?

They would have a power of 6 not 0. Boneyard Wurm and Splinterfright 's power works in all zones.
Per Gatherer: The ability that defines Boneyard Wurm's power and toughness works in all zones, not just the battlefield. If Boneyard Wurm is in your graveyard, it will count itself.
