Boring decks to watch and play...

So I don't know if it's just me, but as weeks go on and on, there are a few decks that are boring as hell to watch and/or play with or against.
First off, Esper Dragons, is super friggin boring! As far as control decks go, it does nothing extra-ordinary. While Dragonlord Ojutai is a beast mode card, the deck just runs stupid boring. Granted it has had its success, but I still do not feel it's at the top of the meta like it used to be because everyone knows about it and is prepared for it. Therefore that means that this deck hasn't adjusted well to people knowing how to beat it. It sees the occasional top 8 because of the match ups it's good against. Still Esper Dragons = Boring!
Next deck is: Anything Reanimator! Stupid boring. When I see a Satyr Wayfinder hit the table on turn 2, I just don't want to watch the match up anymore. I've seen it all before, lost all interest! B-O-R-I-N-G! While the deck does very powerful things, it's easy to beat it with the top aggro decks in the meta.
I want to see home brews. I want to see creative decks whether they're good or bad. I like the excitement of not knowing what decks can do! This meta is a deck builders paradise. Make your own waves and throw together something out of the ordinary and have fun for a change. Winning is all good, but if you have no stories about your wins, no one cares! Magic is a game of entertainment! Entertain yourselves and the people watching.
Post some non-meta decks or non net decks on here so we can see who the real brewmasters are! I'll start.
playing the wrong format if you want home brews man. Standard and Modern develop a Meta within weeks of the new cards and they stick like glue till the next batch. Always has and always will

Eh, I think it depends a lot on the context. Sure, I love to see some spicy brews, but on average I think there is far more interesting Magic being played in say the Esper Dragon mirror than two non-meta decks going at it.
I also think "This meta is a deck builders paradise." is a little stretch. There are a lot of powerful cards, many of which are defining the format, but you're still ultimately aggro, midrange, control, or one of the few combos. You can't really attack the Standard format from interesting ways right now, just shuffle around what combination of cards you're playing.

I love brewing and I love standard for that because it's always changing. My current deck right now is a jeskai heroic/prowess build, and it's super fun to play. Everyone always underestimates Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest until he swings for 8 at the very least.

There's lots you can do if you are creative, and know your meta.
My home brew did fairly well at GP Toronto... not great, but fairly well. - It's sort of a Standard version of a cross between Affinity (play hand out quick) and Infect (Pump creatures to win in 1-2 swings)
This deck is a bit of a glass cannon, but has the potential to win on T3 in various ways, making it slightly faster than RDW if you have the right hand.
It actually takes a fair bit of skill to play... mostly in knowing what hands to keep/mull and why, but also in knowing what spells to hold back/play against which decks.

I am one for taking the path less traveled by, mostly because I can't afford these $200+ decks... and deck building is the best part of the game. Running this tonight:

I've been playing my Descent of the Dragons and Dragon Tempest deck lately. It's super fun and kinda plays like a modern combo deck, Scapeshift/Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle in particular.

i havent playtested esper dragons but was intrigued by it when i was looking through the top deck lists. Sad to hear its boring to play, but to me epser control was boring and timely and wound up seeing a lot of draw matches in the shop i play at. Wasnt a fan of it anyway. I went only once my last time home to a FNM with a trashy little MONO black hand deprivation deck that was fun to play but played poorly because A. i put very little thought into the build and B. I am not that good of a player where i play(or anywhere for that matter) However.. the people i did play against seemed to enjoy the match up as it was something that almost all of them had not been seeing. Since the majority of people paying that night seemed to be playing R/G dragons or MONO red of course i got pummeled but i had fun anyway.

Don't have a build to share for it, but I have a 24 land mono red aggro deck that uses Dragon Tempest and Descent of the Dragons for a finisher.
