I was looking into building another Standard deck and was thinking w/r. Id also Like it to be more competitive rather then fun. Does it have potential? If so, Any ideas?

Boros is definitely strong right now. Aggro is probably the way to go since you will likely play a lot of burn.
Just make sure you don't go overboard with a token strategy (as I see many people do with Boros) because there's no synergy outside of Stoke the Flames. American (Jeskai Ascendancy) and Dega (Butcher of the Horde, Sorin, Solemn Visitor) are much better suited to get value from tokens.

Jwiley129: Would I be able to do stormbreath/wingmate (for late game) AND rabble/brimaz early? Id Like to run all of those.
Chrishansonbiomancin: cool. Ill probably try it out. And i understand lots of people Like to do heroic... Which i personally think Its not very good. And yes, tokens are good but I wouldnt do rw tokens.
But I knew if id be doing rw Itd be something Like stoke/jet/lightning strike/ stormbreath/sarkhan/rabble/brimaz and so on. Btw how would monastery mentor go with it? I was thinking I could do a more jeskai leniant rw with swiftspear and seeker. Maybe chandra, ajani, sarkhan. Gods willing, ajanis presence. How do all these sound? And Is there any rw STAPLES I need to throw in?

I feel like the aggro route is the better one... I've never really liked ''curve'' decks that go from 1 drops to 5 drops, games are so random. The only deck I think does it very good is Abzan Aggro. So yeah, I suggest going the aggro route and going ''wide'' instead of ''big'' so Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Goblin Rabblemaster, Hordeling Outburst, Monastery Mentor, 1 or 2 Soulfire Grand Master, the obvious burn package, a couple Banishing Light (very versatile) and Chained to the Rocks (OP).
Your sideboard can include higher curved cards for games you expect to go longer, or just to surprise opponents!

R/W Aggro was made to defeat Abzan, otherwise it's not great.
I would suggest trying out something new or different.
R/W Control made an appearance early in Khans, it wrecks Aggro and Midrange, fails miserably to Blue-based control. Depends on your meta. I used to run a list I found with 11 Walkers (4 Elspeth, 4 Sarkhan, 3 Chandra), 4 Anger, 4 Brimaz, 4 Chained, 2 Last Breath, 2 Jet, 4 Strike, 4 Light. Looks stupid but its incredible. If someone could figure out a sideboard to beat U/B Control then it'd still have a place in the meta.
R/W Burn I haven't seen at any big tournaments yet but it should work well. Though I would prefer playing Jeskai Burn to have access to the Charm and a few SB counterspells.
R/W Heroic is another solid option. It's less consistent than Boss Sligh and less versatile than W/U Heroic but Chained to the Rocks is a f**king card man.
How about R/W Tokens? Collateral Damage is screaming to be played in the right build. Outpost Siege, Akroan Hoplite, Ride Down, the list goes on. Many options if you aren't afraid to play cards that people scoff at.

I have tried a lot of things but end up dropping them. I've tried green blue, grixis, naya, green red and a few others (mostly proxied). I'm running an abzan and my friends have the other three color guilds taken up (wouldn't want to mirror deck them). Right now I noticed red white aggro has made an appearance so I thought I'd try that out. Check out my deck list. I have it on my profile and the link is a few comments up

Have you tried Jeskai tokens with ascendancy and treasure cruise? It can get out of hand really quick with monastery mentor and it has very good sideboard options compared to Boros!

My friend is already doing jeakai tokens. I'm just going to try out Boros burn

RW is currently a pretty good deck, and you have two main ways to build it. Either you can go RW aggro and run a low curve with Brimaz, King of Oreskos/Goblin Rabblemaster or go RW midrange and play some larger creatures like Wingmate Roc/Stormbreath Dragon.
