Boros Midrange?

So I don't like what boros aggro has to offer. Aside from the Reckoner, I think the strength I. Creatures really lies in the midrange game. I have a basic shell in mind...Boros Reckoner , Restoration Angel , Aurelia, the Warleader , foremane-avenger, and Angel of Serenity . I also want to include the gatecrash gideon and Assemble the Legion as alternate win conditions. Entreat the Angels will also run as at least a 2 of if not a 3. I'm debating on gisela also as a 1 of.

So here is my dilemma: do I fill the other slots with burn and spells to make my attacks more potent or what? Also, do I run cavern of would or are my creatures too varied for it to be effective?

Type up a decklist. It would be easier to judge from there.

Boros is immensely stronger early game than mid/late game... Every heard of Champion of the Parish ?...

xlaleclx: that is a great card in a humans-based deck. I don't want one of those, though.

Silverblade Paladin always makes thing hurt tho. yes boros is better mid game for the higher cost cards, but some early game creatures can make the bigger ones hit harder like paladin or charms

Love Silverblade Paladin . He and Frontline Medic will make up the 3 drop slots I. This build. I need to abuse the double-strike souldbond as long as I can. Them bonded to stuff with an Aurelia drop is game over

I think you don't see a whole lot of Boros Midrange because of how much easier it is to play Naya midrange. That gives you Farseek , Loxodon Smiter , and Thragtusk . Not to mention, Avacyn's Pilgrim . You start dropping fatties on turn two or three while they're still derping around with 2/2s.

Yes, there really is no reason to run a two-color non-aggro deck at the moment. Speaking of which, BWR midrange has been winning a bit lately; you gain Obzedat, Dreadbore , Rakdos's Return , Rakdos Keyrune , Tragic Slip , etc.

I'm missing all the duals and shocks for b/w to build that deck. I also know how sick naya midrange is right now. I'm just looking to experiment with something here and see if I can make this competitive at all. I'm not saying boros midrange is the better option I'm just experimenting

That's totally fine. RW could actually be a pretty solid deck. If you start with an early-game core of:

4x Boros Reckoner

4x Restoration Angel

4x Searing Spear

2x Mizzium Mortars

2x Rolling Temblor

3x Pillar of Flame

And a late-game core of:

2x Aurelia, the Warleader

1x Assemble the Legion

2x Angel of Serenity

3x Thundermaw Hellkite

That leaves you with 8 flex slots considering 25 land.
