Can Reckoner divide damage between different targets if the damage he took is from only one source?
For example, I have a Soldier of the Pantheon and a Rakdos Cackler Unleashed on my side, and my opponent has a Boros Reckoner . I Lightning Strike his Boros Reckoner , the damage resolves. With Boros Reckoner 's effect, can he divide the damage taken from Lightning Strike between my Rakdos Cackler and Soldier of the Pantheon , or can it only go to one target since it was one source of damage?
First, questions like this should be asked in the MTG Rules Q&A.
For the question, Boros Reckoner says "target creature or player" and does not say you can split it. So no, he can't do that. Also, Soldier of the Pantheon has protection from multicolored so Boros Reckoner couldn't even target it with his ability.

First off, questions like this should be asked in the MTG Q&A. FYI.
He can only target one of them, for several reasons. First of all, since it was only dealt damage once, its ability only triggers once, and since the ability only uses the word target once, he can only target one creature or player. Additionally, Soldier of the Pantheon has protection from multicolored, which Boros Reckoner counts as, so he couldn't target or deal damage to Soldier of the Pantheon anyway.

no, if Boros Reckoner allowed the damage to be divided it would say so like Flames of the Firebrand does or the monstrous ability of Polukranos, World Eater does. Also, Soldier of the Pantheon has protection from multicolor. Because of the hybrid mana symbols of Boros Reckoner he is considered red and white, aka multicolored. So, he wouldn't be able to deal damage to your Soldier of the Pantheon at all, divided or not.

Ahhh, sorry. Thanks.
And yeah, I forgot he was pro-multicolored. I was just making up a situation. Something similar happened.
But thanks!

Somebody tried to pull this over on me and I let it slide for the time being, but I'm actually very certain he was wrong.
