Hello, everyone.
First off, I wanted to thank you for taking the take to read this post and doubly so thank you for any input you may have to offer.
The entire purpose of this thread is an overall need and desire to try and optimize my friend's budget deck. A long time player of Magic the Gathering, my friend, Nick, commonly played throughout the Lowryn and Zendikar Blocks yet fell out of the Magic circuit over a year and a half ago due to the birth of his first kid.
Now, almost two years later, he's wanting to get back into standard. As is, he doesn't have a single standard card to his name, but he's been wanting my help and advice in building a new deck. As is, he plans on ordering in a deck from TGCPlayer and has given me an overall budget of $75. I'm personally willing to throw him some of my cards, but I don't exactly have an impression collection, myself. I already intend on giving him 4x Champion of the Parish.
I've tried to explain the current meta to him, and with his budget in mind, he's stated he'd like to try and do a budget Boros Burn/Aggro deck or a budget Naya aggro deck. In time, he might be willing to invest more into the game, but he's only getting back in, for now, due to his tax return coming in.
With this in mind, has anyone seen any strong budget decks or had any ideas on what I can do for my friend? As is, I've constructed a crude idea for the Boros deck, and it can be found here: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/boros-legion-budget/

$75 is enough to go in for a few more pricey cards. Thalia, Guardian of Thraben is good against control decks. 1 or 2 of those could help, not too many since you can't play more than one. Frontline Medic is pretty excellent as well, 2 or 3 since they cost (mana, I mean) more than most of the deck.
An Oblivion Ring or 2 helps respond to some of the less burn-able threats (like your opponent's Detention Sphere)
If you find yourself with extra money when the deck looks complete, try some dual color lands. Unfortunately, red-white is pretty expensive.

Just wanted to say it's much cheaper to do Boros rather than Naya. If anything Boros has two colors of Naya, so if he wanted to "upgrade" to Naya, it could be done very easily.
