Don't count this card out!
I faced it in a RDW match on Friday night and it was BAD for me (and most decks are at least 2 colors nowadays).
Something to keep an eye out for...
@gufymike, yes, us blue players have an answer quickly. But all those green-white-red combination players have it a little harder

ifired Sundering Growth . Naturalize :/ White, green have answers if people actually played them. Red doesn't need to worry in this particular instance, but it has it's own way of playing.

lol i am sorry but with all the tools at your finger tips and bant auras still being a perfectly nasty deck, and the token decks running all over the place with the enchantment boosts, if you do not have some way to interact with enchantments all i have to say is.... really?
yes this card is nasty if it goes unchecked, and you do not have the ability to play around it, but come on the format is full of good answers.

toysm1th I think part of the problem is if a card isn't in a decklist that top 8's, it doesn't exist or is unplayable to most people..... ;)

The problem is guys is that you CANNOT plan for EVERY thing out there. Yes you can have some answers for these things, but if you do not have them in your hand at the time you will be taking at least 3-4 damage (if not more) dealing with this AND whatever threats are on the board.
I have edict effects to take care of Mr. "Bant Pants" so I don't worry about that deck. I will have to adjust my sideboard more if RDW and this card become more of a thing. It just caught me by surprise because my LGS has between 15-20 players usually for FNM and I didn't think anyone there would be running RDW.

harrydemon117 given the amount of dual lands available in the current meta and utility lands available, Burning Earth should not have been unexpected. It was unexpected in calgary too though, I don't understand how it really was though. I saw it coming a mile a way, the perfect card in this meta to f things up.

gufymike Oh I agree wholeheartedly there my friend. Just my LGS has a lot of players who like to play control-esque decks but there was a surprise Modern tournament that night as well and most of the "good players" who run these decks went to play modern instead.
I wasn't expecting as much aggro let alone RDW that night. See la vi!

Ok! I have been wanting to test my Trading Post deck for awhile now too :)

No kidding. It will hurt allot of decks that don't have an immediat answer for it. That's why I love it so much.
