Nyx-Fleece Ram

Honestly, I feel like this could actually be a very good card for Esper and Azorius control decks. It's got a huge ass and just kinda sits there against burn, not saving you, but definitely putting the brakes on the game.

Thoughts?

Also, dat art. Bro just carrying on a sheep over his shoulders like nbd.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw it.. It's not a bomb, but it seems perfect for decks that need to slow down the game a bit. Plus, enchant it with an Eldrazi Conscription and BAM! You've got an enchanted enchantment Eldrazi Sheep 10/15 monster that can eat planets. :Seriously I love this little woolly guy.

That's... well, I guess you can technically do that.

In Standard, it is a game slower, but in all honesty, I like Lagonna-Band Trailblazer a little better. Not only is it a Yoked Ox , a big butt for a one drop, but it also has Heroic. You can't ask for more, I think.

But for control, how many spells do you honestly have that can target your own things (and not kill them)?

None.

I'm running 4 Nyx-Fleece Ram in the sideboard of my deck to come in against aggro and burn decks.

It is so good imho

I started following this midrange deck that runs 4x Nyx-Fleece Ram and it looks really fun...

I agree that it seems very good in control. For the impact it provides early-game, you wouldn't even mind losing it when you decide to Supreme Verdict , especially since aggro decks may decide to commit an extra creature to getting around it.

I also like it in a midrange deck with Archangel of Thune .
