I have been eager to make a midrange white deck for post-rotation standard and looked through the theros block and m15, and wondered if there is even an answer that white has to stop Stormbreath Dragon .
Planar Cleansing , Fated Retribution , and Mass Calcify don't even seem to be practical cards to use with their enormously large mana-cost.
Even now the only viable answer for Stormbreath Dragon is a properly timed Celestial Flare . I am wondering if there are any of these simple low cost cards out there for post-rotation that white can do to answer this huge threat. Unless, white is forever doomed to play white weenie until theros rotates...

BorosPlayer that still says "target" so Stormbreath Dragon would have protection from it.

Oh wait. I thought it was exactly the same as Celestial Flare except it exiles. Sorry.

Did you forget that Elspeth, Sun's Champion can kill a Stormbreath Dragon ?

yeah, Protection can really eff with a deck's place in the metagame.

White is arguably the best color in Theros and M15, so I veto against anything concerning the Dragon.
