Okay so feel free to post any other cards in comparison to one another however I was curious about the following.Nullify vs Negate , Shipbreaker Kraken vs Stormtide Leviathan ,and Singing Bell Strike vs Encrust . Thanks for any feedback!

Most of these cards really are situational, it all depends on what kind of deck you are facing.

Also I would say that Stormtide Leviathan is much better than Shipbreaker Kraken

Most of these cards serve a different purpose than the other your comparing it to. Without context we have no way to compare these cards.

Nullify VS Negate : Negate . Negate hits more things, and that pesky cost of Nullify really hurts.

Shipbreaker Kraken VS Stormtide Leviathan : Stormtide Leviathan . I like the idea of an 8/8 unblockable for 8. And it says your opponent can't attack which is great too.

Singing Bell Strike VS Encrust : Singing Bell Strike . The lower cost is good for a curve. Also, in a format like standard you usually don't want to pay 6 mana to untap your creature. So its almost like a 2 mana removal spell.

ok this is the part where he tells you his friends play creature heavy, islandwalking, artifact combo decks and then the exact opposite of what you said is true. Negate would hit next to nothing, your opponents can still attack with leviathan out, and Singing Bell Strike doesn't hit their major artifact combo pieces. Like I said without context you can't compare the two.

I mean, for example, in a vacuum one could argue that both Nullify and Negate are equal. They both do what they're supposed to do efficiently and cheap. They just don't do the same thing so without context no one can tell you which is better. Now when you add in a little context that's when it starts to become more obvious which is better for your needs. For example, if you said you face a lot of aggro decks, then it means a card like Negate is probably useless to you and Nullify would help you more against those creature heavy decks. However, if you said you face a lot of control decks then Negate jumps to the front as the better option since Nullify would have very few if any targets at all.

Unless your going to provide some context to the situation for people to actually give you some kind of informed answer, your going to get nowhere with this post.

lol, I was just making a point. Depending on the decks you play against and depending on what your deck is actually trying to do, each one has it's pros and cons. With no actual information though it's impossible to say one is better than the other with any kind of certainty.

Thanks for all the input I just was trying to figure out the pros and cons of both in other peoples opinions however the day I came across a creature heavy, artifact, islandwalk deck would be the day haha. I just wanted a comparison based off of opinion but thanks everyone for all the input
