Hello at the end of this month my local shop will be holding a 2 headed giant tournament... I am completely new to this, but i really want to try it. I need you guys to post below two-headed giant decks in pairs. Thanks!!

Also the decks have to be standard.

Standard 2HG decks are going to be pretty hard to come by. It'll probably be easier to just make your own pairs. Look for cards that hit each player, like Supreme Verdict , Underworld Coinsmith , or Blind Obedience . You can make a really solid multiplayer deck with these types of effects. However, I don't think that you'll find too many people willing to lay out multiple decks for ya.

I've not played a bunch of 2HG but expanding on the logic above, using the extort mechanic with crypt ghast and with something like debt to the deathless as a finisher seems decent.

Here's are the decks from a Two-Headed Giant that won the tournament at my local card store a couple weeks ago. I added JOU cards that they'd most likely use: The National Anthem with Azorius Tempo.

What made these two decks work so well together was the fact that they were different but had pretty great synergies together. The Azorius Control deck kept the board clear for the aggressive red deck to beat down easily. Supreme Verdict actually didn't bother the aggro deck, since the 4 main board Boros Charm and Legion's Initiative made it a one-sided wrath. Also, Legion's Initiative works extremely well with Fanatic of Mogis .

The fact that the two decks were so different made it hard to combat. Other control oriented strategies couldn't keep up with the aggro deck, and the control deck gave the team some reach. The players told me that Opportunity was a key card, because it could let the aggro deck fuel up again if it fell short.

In short, I feel as if the two decks on a team need to work together, but be very different in theme to make your opponents have to deal with each deck individually and not as a team, while you can easily take down their deck.
