Standard forum

I want to build a standard tempo deck with Stuborn Denial. I need cheap, effective, non-Chromanticore , 4 power creatures.

May you give me some help?

Cheap? Are you meaning $ or CMC?

Ashcloud Phoenix

Master of the Feast

Savage Knuckleblade

Boon Satyr

A big Spellheart Chimera

Any number of green fatties

Anafenza, the Foremost

Necropolis Fiend .

That's what comes to mind right away.

If we want to go up the curve some your options are limitless.

Casino647 - CMC, of course.

tooTimid - About Spellheart, I tried it, and I would need to be very controlish and only drop it late. It sounded very awesome first time, but playtesting destroys dreams.

Said that, I still think that you gave me some ideas. Phoenix sounds nice, and, even though Master of the Feast gives my opponents crazy advantage, I can protect him with Stubborn Denial and outrace them with his big body, exactly what I wanted.

aye Stubborn Denial could be a thing. seems like it would be the best fit in a white blue heroic deck tbh but Im not here to judge. :)

Master sounds just about right.

PreZchoICE1 - Who knows?. Heroic, Prowess and Ferocious are good combos. Heroic and Prowess pump a lot, then Ferocious give profit. Jeskai have lots of options for both Heroic and Ferocious and all Prowess cards.

Maybe I'll give it a shot. The key is to be very little gimmick, try not to be narrow and have a good mana base (with good I mean not-painful but working).
