So I was looking around the shop and I saw some of those clash packs. And I was wondering of their gonna count towards the reprints for the next format? Like is courser downfall and reaper of the wilds going to count since they got they re reprint once throes block leaves.

Please link cards in question

Hero's Downfall

Courser of Kruphix

I'm Confused on what you mean by going to count for the next format

If you mean when theros rotates, No those cards unless they are reprinted in a major expansion such as DTK which is extremely doubtful will rotate as well

No, reprints of cards in supplemental products do not count toward cards in standard, unless otherwise made true by WotC, as was the case with M15 (remember, Terra Stomper is standard legal).

So unless otherwise noted, no, those certain cards, or anything else that is not in an expansion set, will not be in standard.

Also noting the fact those cards are promotional cards. Promo cards are only legal in formats where the non promo version is legal.

Ugh then why would that pack be worth getting if the money car are just gonna leave the format?

Is this another one of your troll threads? Like when you said WOTC stole your card designs?

@quesobueno123: I remember that, good times.

Clash Packs are designed for new players getting into the game to buy two decks to pit against each other, similar to Duel Decks, and to later create a single deck, like Event Decks. Since WOTC wants people to play Standard, the Packs used Standard cards.

Alternate art cards help increase values for collectors and/or people looking to make decks special. Some of these promos, like Courser of Kruphix, are played outside of Standard.

Eventually the cards will rotate out, but hopefully the investment for the time you played with them is worth it.
