Combating Whip in Standard

I'm currently playing an Abzan midrange build and I have a lot of trouble beating whip decks. I currently have two Anafensza, two Reclamation Sage, and an additional copy of Utter End (bringing me up to two total). However, I'm still having a lot of trouble against whip decks. Should I consider other cards or do I just have to accept that it's a bad matchup? can I try hushwing gryff or is it not good enough?
I play abzan midrange and i play all the cards u mentioned and i have no problem with whip decks your answers just need to be timely

Maybe you just have terrible luck (like me) and never draw the answers you sided in at the right time speaks from experience

Depending on your meta mainboard exile could be good. It's seeing quite a bit of play these days. Deals with whip as well as problem creatures like courser

4 Erase in your sideboard. Side them in every time.
I don't think, that Hushwing Gryff is good enough. It only stops ETB effects, which is not allways the problem.

What you need is enchantment destruction/exile. Erase is good for that at a cheap CMC, and the other option you have is, if you are running into multiple enchants at once, is Back to Nature. That will get those pesky Courser of Kruphixs, Doomwake Giants, and Jeskai Ascendancy all at once. The downside? Your enchantments get nixed too. I suggest if you are playing in an enchant-heavy meta to have 1-2 in your sideboard.
Just my thoughts.

The best way to beat whip is to play whip. Like seriously. Whip is one of the best cards in standard right now and combos really well with siege rhino, wingmate roc, and hornet queen, which i assume you're running in abzan midrange.

You could also run Naturalize or Deicide,Others have already mentioned my favorite Erase and Back to Nature I have such problems with ascendancy combo decks in my area that my side is often geared to beat enchantment dependent decks, Constellation hasnt lost all of its luster either so its is nice to have that hate in the side.

May I suggest adding some Stain the Mind. It may not get rid of the one on field but it makes sure none come out. 1-2 punch.

Reclamation Sage works, along with Erase, Erebos, God of the Dead stops their lifegain and will help your own lifegain (if you run whip) by turning some useless health and coverting it into steam.

I've been trying to build a Underworld Cerberus so that I can Mainboard Tormod's Crypt for exactly this reason. Thing is, I'm not much of a deck-builder, so I wirr now shamefurry prug myserf.
[Needs Help] Dogs Don't Like Whips
And based on that deck someone else made a Control variant, which looks significantly more reliable.

You've got Erase, Utter End, and Reclamation Sage all of which you can play against Whip of Erebos to get rid of them. Otherwise you could cave and play Tormod's Crypt in your sideboard, and Hushwing Gryff only stops ETBs, so it's kindof meh. it stops Siege Rhino and Hornet Queen, but you have better things to do in Abzan.
