Okay so if I play a Stab Wound on an opponents creature would it trigger constellation?

Yes because you still control the Stab Wound it triggers constellation.

To clarify, it would trigger YOUR constellation, but not your opponent's. Your question didn't specify, so I figured I'd clarify. Also please ask rules questions in the Q&A section.
