i've been working to find a decent replacement for V.O.R. for my junk aristos (mainly budget issues) how do you feel about Mr. jack in junk aristocrats? my view is Corpsejack Menace would be a prefect team mate to varolz... making the cartel or whatever bigger faster, my only worry is his 4 converted mana cost... i only ask because i have to see a build with him in it
(sorry about that mess up there lol)
You don't need Corpsejack Menace in Junk Aristocrats because by the time you cast him, the game will be over. Your four-drop is usually going to be Sorin, Lord of Innistrad to make an emblem and kill people with spirit tokens.

i decided to hold off on sorin due to rotation i know most of the deck is going to cycle anyway but oh well right??

Yeah, the only 4 drop you would want is either Sorin, Lord of Innistrad or Garruk Relentless Flip because:
Sorin can come down and immediately make an emblem, or pump out a stream of little dudes.
Garruk kills Olivia Voldaren and other problematic small creatures, or can pump out a stream of medium-sized guys to really pressure control decks.
If you don't want either you are better off playing no 4-drops at all and keeping the curve low.

Junk Aristocrats is very, very good at clogging up the board and making for a long game in those circumstances where the opponent has ways to avoid dying quickly. However, even in those cases I would avoid Corpsejack Menace . It only works in a pretty narrow situation that only happens later in the game, which means that he's a really bad draw early.
What I did see in the four-slot that seems oddly effective is Desecration Demon . A Junk Aristocrats deck sporting three of them made Top 4 at the SCG Open this weekend, and it seems like a pretty good answer to the current Jund-dominated metagame. He had a couple of matches on the air against Jund and seeing a Demon with two counters on it come across for the win was pretty satisfying.
Even so, either way you're talking about replacing a 2-drop with a 4-drop, and that's something to be concerned about. The JA 2-slot is pretty full and maybe you could get away with it, but if you're replacing a 2-drop with either of these 4-drops (rather than including it along with another 2), then pay very close attention to whether it's worth it.
