Corpsejack Menace So lets say you have 2 of these fearsome creatures on your side of the board and then bam Primordial Hydra on your next turn lets say you put out hydra with 10/10, making him a 20/20 for one Corpsejack then 30/30 for the second but wouldnt this trigger a ungodly event because more counters are being placed that the first Corspejack would then tirgger causing the second to trigger so on and so forth? And if that is not the case how does the amount of counters trigger for each Corspejack?... 10/10 going to 20/20 then 30/30 first turn then upkeep goin to 60/60(hydra) then 120/120 to 180/180 or is it 120-240?

Replacement effects don't trigger. First one says double the counters, the second says double THOSE counters, so all in all, you quadruple INSTEAD. With Primordial Hydra the X counters that would double it get quadrupled, so at the beginning of your upkeep, he quintuples his counters instead.

Follow the path of the previous stack you just used as an example.

Next upkeep, Primordial Hydra's effect kicks in. 30 counters becomes doubled, this in turn triggers both corpsejack, which states if one or more +1/+1 counters would be placed, add twice that many, so as 30 comes down, it turns into 60 due to corpsejack, then 120 due to second one.

It doesn't cause an infinite loop due to the fact they're replacement effects. The hydra is the only one to insert counters onto itself, which corpsjacks don't do, they merely change how many is added to the hydra. You basically double three times.

with two Corpsejack out, playing a Primordial Hydra with X = 10 would give you a 40/40 hydra (2 doubles = quadruple). At the beginning of your upkeep, there would be 3 doubling effects, which would octuple (2 x 2 x 2 = 8) the counters, making your hydra a 320/320

I created a deck with that idea sometime ago Counter Counting it was fun when it did work but at FNM versus control it became destroyed even though I went 1-2 versus them but versus various other decks such as token decks I powered through them 2-0. I ended up playing three control decks in a row after that going 0-2 each time there after and dropped. Its fun to win some but to lose that many I called it quits. If I didn't face so many control decks it would of done much better.
