Crux of Fate in Standard?

As soon as Crux of Fate got spoiled I thought one thing, U/B control just got ALOT better! The deck seemed to loose a lot mostly due to not have an efficient sweeper. Perilous Vault is great but its slow and can be removed using something like Banishing Light. What do you guys think? Is this an insta-include in all U/B Control decks?

There's no catch-all for what should be included in any given archetype, but most Standard U/B Control decks will run this. It works especially well if you're using Silumgar, the Drifting Death as a finisher. I also expect to see some Grixis control shells as well, using Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker and some of the other recently spoiled dragons as finishers.

Hopefully the dragon/non-dragon clause isn't too restrictive. It should be a nice compliment to Perilous Vault.

While the dragons in the set are decent I can't see there being too many floating around considering there high casting cost. If there is, you're not likely to see more than one on the field at a time and there are much more efficient ways to deal with then such as Hero's Downfall. I dson't think the existence of dragons in the set will change much

Yeah, I think it'll be a pure wrath the vast majority of the time. DTK may change that if the dragons there are more competitively costed. Still, Stormbreath lurks.
I think I'm going to initially try it as a 3(Crux)/2(Vault) split with a 3rd Vault in the board.

yes. ub had to splash white for a sweeper or play vault. now it can have its cake and eat it too
