Deathmist Raptor

Hey everyone,

In standard I'm playing Abzan Midrange with the addition of the den protector/ deathmist raptor package.

I'm wondering if the inclusion of deathmist raptor is correct? Should this card be played?- are there better options? Should I change to a more control or aggro style?

thoughts on the card in an abzan shell?

The inclusion of the raptor is probably correct. However, I've seen a guy find success by keeping the protectors and playing Anafenza, the Foremost instead of the raptor. It really disrupts all the other builds playing that package without taking too much away from your own deck.

It's not a bad idea, like, you can't go wrong with that. Now if you were wanting to play a control or aggro deck, I would say that's not the right fit for Raptor. If you were going strictly midrange, I like him in there. Especially if you have either Mastery of the Unseen or Whip of Erebos in the deck Along with Whisperwood Elemental.

I would need to see a deck list but I would go with 2x den protector

I can see no reason not to run 4 of both. You're midrange, so you want to drag the game out. The cards are insane against Esper Dragons, and basically any other control/midrange decks.

Seems ok with me. Good against any deck that isn't mono- fast and has ground creatures.
