Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts or comments on what decks does everyone think will continually see play, or emerge out of nowhere.
Really trying to predict what to expect at an up-coming Grand Prix.
one deck i think will be around more often is definitely Grixis Control.

There will be a lot of old decks with new tech. People are very reluctant to break away from what they've been playing, so for at least a little while you'll see old decks with duct tape covering the holes that just got blasted into them by rotation.

Izzet control, orzhov control, gruul midrange, naya blitz, RDW and bant control are my top picks.

I think lots of 3-colour will be very slow and prone to Burning Earth , so two-colour will become more prominent. Esper will be clunky without the perfect manabases, and azorius or orzhov will be smoother in a format with worse mana-bases than before.

Esper Superfriends Part 2 and R/G aggro will both do well.

Esper Control has lost almost nothing in the rotation. Think Twice and Snapcaster Mage are the two biggies, but it gets Read the Bones and Thassa, God of the Sea .
RDW will become prevalent again because it's a new format, and the deck always thrives after a rotation. Similarly, R/G/x Blitz decks will be stronger as Midrange loses a lot of tools (like Bonfire of the Damned ), while gaining a lot of new toys.
The last major contender will be Jund Midrange. It won't be anything like the previous format, but will still be the strongest version of Midrange around. Desecration Demon , Scavenging Ooze , Anger of the Gods , Lifebane Zombie , Mizzium Mortars , Abrupt Decay , and Dreadbore are all available. Not to mention, Xenagos, The Reveler , Domri Rade , and Sire Of Insanity .

This is going to sound like it's entirely out of left field, but I see Reanimator surviving rotation, namely due to a combination of Rescue from the Underworld and Whip of Erebos . If not as a whole deck, some W/B/X deck using Whip/Obzedat, Ghost Council combo. While the deck would be poorly situated against anything using Scavenging Ooze the current meta's reliance on Ooze to deal with graveyard removal could help such a deck survive due to it knowing what every G/X deck in the field will try playing to beat them.

I see G/W tokens and G/W aggro being a prospective deck still. Fleecemane Lion along with Fabled Hero /Unflinching Courage and such. We still have Advent of the Wurm along with the other good G/W token generators. But Naya will have the biggest impact imo.

I feel like G/W hexproof could be pretty bonkers. At any rate, 3 color decks are going to start dissapearing, not that that's going to stop me from playing BUG.

Honestly I think the colors that weren't placing that much (Orzhov, hell even maybe Simic!) are going to be up and coming, I know I have built one hell of an Orzhov Control to go with rotation, and I expect nothing but success.

Grixis Control will be a thing after the dust settles and people realize how many tools it has picked up.
At the start and probably one of the (non surprising) main contenders will be RDW as they always make an appearance the first big tournament after a rotation because people don't know what to play and these are the easiest on mana.
My prediction will be monocolored aggro decks. Monowhite and mono green will make big appearances also.
My prediction for "after the dust settles" for the first couple of weeks control decks will take over. here's the one I'm building for that time: Grixis Superfriends

I can see heavy counter focused mono green decks becoming a serious threat. Probably with an even splash from Rav forward, to the new additions in Theros.

White-based aggro/midrange will see some, if not a lot, of play.
Voice of Resurgence , Blood Baron of Vizkopa , Brave the Elements . All are good brewing ingredients.
Also, RDW will, of course, be prominent in the first few weeks of confusion and chaos. People may also look to G/R midrange with the new planeswalker, Xenagos, The Reveler , and Ruric Thar, the Unbowed . B/W Humans may see some fringe play, MonoGreen Aggro brews maybe. Just pure speculation right now. U/W/R is increasingly popular.
