The mechanics of regenerate are tripping me up...would Tragic Slip get rid of a creature with regenerate?

regenerate is basically a poor mans, indestructible.

@ JokerWx13: Tragic Slip doesn't prevent a creature with undying from coming back on the battlefield. It will come back and stay on the battlefield.

the Undying mechanic only cares if the creature had a +1/+1 counter on it.
Regenerate, indestructible, -x/-x effects, flying, artifact, monkey. all irrelevant.

Undying translates "If sent from the filed to graveyard" and doesn't care how it got there. So the only way it "stays dead" is to exile it, return to library/hand etc.
Tragic Slip gives -x/-x to a creature (depending on moribd here) and thus a creature with 0 toughness is put into a graveyard (even if it's indestructible, has regenerate, whatever)

short answer yes
long answer:614.8. Regeneration is a destruction-replacement effect. The word instead doesnt appear on the card but is implicit in the definition of regeneration. Regenerate [permanent] means The next time [permanent] would be destroyed this turn, instead remove all damage marked on it and tap it. If its an attacking or blocking creature, remove it from combat. Abilities that trigger from damage being dealt still trigger even if the permanent regenerates.
Since tragic lip wont actually cause damage, it gets rid of things with regenerate, AND things with indestructible
