Domni Rade -2 Ability?

So my opponent activates Domri Rade 's -2 ability...his creature attacks my Vampire Nighthawk . He says that my lifelink doesn't work during this combat. Is that true?

Lifelink and deathtouch will both take effect.

If it's the 2013 Vampire Nighthawk , then your question is answered in the reminder text. Also, let your friend no that just because it says fight, it's not combat. It is literally: X deals damage equal to its power to Y and Y deals damage equal to its power to X. Also, it happens at the same time.

oh jeez, that means if I put him with an enchantment that says "tap:~ deals 1 damage to all creatures you don't control". Wrath on a body?

Yeah, giving deathtouch/lifelink creatures an archery ability like that is nasty.
