Was he played at all during the original printing of him in standard? Hes a really cool card (especially his flavor text) and I dont personally think he could get there but eh what do you think?
At worst he is a 1/1 for 1 cmc. But with the added benefit of winning late game. He is never really going to be a bad draw.

I feel like she has a better chance of seeing play this standard. We're coming off a set where dragons mattered in Dragons of Tarkir and with things like Animist's Awakening, Atarka's Command, etc., / can easily get 6 lands in play. I just feel like in the current standard environment her ability won't feel like it comes into effect "too late".

I run her in my Scion deck. I feel a card like this can only be appropriately used in a slower format like EDH.

Dragonmaster Outcast should see some play in Standard, I for one will be actively trying to find a suitable deck. The art is incredible, Swanland is my fave, and the flavor is great. She didn't see much play when first released but like already mentioned, the whole metagame was different. I'm happy they reprinted, especially following the Tarkir block. Not very impactful when played t1 obviously as she'll be dead before you hit your land quota, but from a purely thematic standpoint she will be great in Mono-Red Dragons.

Wow just noticed the flavor text is different!!! Not sure I like the change...
"This world will be ruled by its rightful sovereigns, not these hideous pretenders" -new
"Cast out by my tribe, I am a pariah trapped in this mammal's carcass. Only my true kin hear my cries" -old

I'm sure some people tried her out (totally a lady, btw), but the environment at the time was such that a 1/1 who has to wait until late in the game plus one more turn to have an impact just wasn't very good. For comparison, Scute Mob was only played as a random 1-of in Ranger of Eos decks, and even then not all the time.
