Encroaching Waste in UW control?

high guys just really tossing around the idea of possibly running maybe 2x Encroaching Wastes in my UW control the card can really disrupt decks that are heavily relying on multi color mana. And also is an answer for the pesky Mutavault
thoughts?
If it was Tectonic Edge I think there would be a strong argument for it. The problem with Encroaching Wastes it just costs too damn much. If you're getting beat down by Mutavault you need cheap answers to stabilize against those decks and there are very few decks you're going to knock of their colors in the current environment. The only land that's really worth destroying for that cost right now is really Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx , but that has often already done its damage on the turn it comes into play.

You want to be having butt-tons of mana open for your huge Sphinx's Revelation s late game. Encroaching Waste keeps them off Mutavault , but there are a plethora of answers to him and Encroaching is too expensive. Besides that, you're hurting yourself against aggro since you likely won't reach more than six-ish mana and they either run basics, or don't care because loss of land doesn't impact the board. I'd say no, if you're having Mutavault troubles run 3 of your own or side in Pithing Needle .
