Just a general question on the viability. I mean ramping into AEtherling shouldn't be too hard. I just worry about speed and consistency. Repeated evo triggers? Yes please. Renegade Krasis and Ooze Flux + AEtherling seems fun if you can stretch out the game

His pump ability would play nicely with his flicker ability and Gyre Sage .

That was my thought exactly Ohthenoises. The other creatures that seevers35 mentioned would be stalling till I drop AEtherling and then use the mana generated by Gyre Sage to swing for huge damage while having lands untapped to protect my stuff. And imagine him with MasterBiomancer. Comes back with minimum +2/+2 giving me more wiggle room on damage

His flicker ability, and the fact that he's a 4/5 is useful for Gyre Sage 's Evolve... but his pump ability would do nothing for Gyre Sage .
AEtherling is a 4/5 when it enters the battlefield. If Gyre Sage has power of 4 or greater, and toughness of 5 or greater, it's Evolve won't trigger upon AEtherling entering the battlefield... regardless of how much you pump it.
So, once the Sage has 3 or more counters, AEtherling does nothing to boost it.
I would have to agree with seevers35.... once you get AEtherling out, just focus on winning, since you're almost there.

Rayenous I think you are missing the part where Gyre Sage taps for mana so she would allow you to sink that into AEtherling 's pump ability...

You can use AEtherling 's flicker to dodge removal (as you normally would) but this also allows you to sink more mana into his pump.

Once again I don't see a special interaction. If you have the 6 mana for casting AEtherling , you have the 4 mana you would use for pumping, plus the unblockable, plus 1 defensive flickering if needed.
Gyre Sage is a good form of ramp to get him out quick, but beyond that there's no interaction between them.
The Ooze Flux , then flicker idea is interesting... but I still say, just win with him once you have him.

The point I was making with Gyre Sage is to keep my lands open so I can produce more than just green. So if I need to flicker him more than once I can. Or if I need to play a counter i'll have mana open.

Why play other creatures once you drop Aetherling? Aetherling ends the game in 3 turns! Yes, you can pull of evolve shenanigans, but killing your opponent is what that blue monster craves.
