Fitting in Abhorrent Overlord!

I really like Abhorrent Overlord and would love to get a mono-black deck going with him as my big hitter. I would run Grey Merchant of Asphodel but don't have any Desecration Demon or Thoughtsieze. Would Eater of Hope compliment well together or what? What's the best way to utilize Abhorrent Overlord ???
I Use Abhorrent Overlord in conjunction with Geralf's Messenger , Vampire Nighthawk ,Insatiable Harpy and Gray Merchant of Asphodel to ramp up my devotion then after I play my Abhorrent Overlord I sac him and bring him right back with my favorite card in the deck Rescue from the Underworld

If you really want to run Abhorrent Overlord buy the BotG Event Deck on the 28th of Feb and Modify to suit.
I would add extra Crypt Ghast to ramp for your bigger black creatures, also add Erebos, God of the Dead and destro, a whip or two
