Godsend + Brutal Hordechief?

I wonder if their could be a deck that could use this combo. You equip the Godsend to a creature, could be the Brutal Hordechief, then use Brutal Hordechief's ability to exile enemy creatures that block the creature equip with Godsend. A few turns later, you've decimated your opponents board with these two cards. It seems mana intensive, although this could be a complete one sided board wipe.
I don't know if I'm the first person to think of this, or even if its a good idea. Anybody have any thoughts on this?
same. too much mana investment, high cost means you get them out late game, and have to run 3-4 copies to be consistent. drawing a second Godsend is a dead card if you already have one in play.

Godsend only exiles up to one of the blocked or blocking creatures, so this doesn't work. If it did work, it could be a late game finish.

See, I'm not even sure what type of deck this would go in. Equipment cards are generally not used unless you have Stoneforge Mystic or some sort of deck along those lines. I don't think in standard you want to have a deck with a card like that in there. I'd rather just use Chained to the Rocks or Perilous Vault to exile cards.

It works and all, but seems like way too much mana. I honestly would rather cast a boardwipe. Maybe in a casual setting, this would work but I don't think it's competitive enough.
