not sure if any are aware of this combo so im just gonna share it with people

first off play a Possibility Storm pass turn

next turn you cast a sorcery which triggers P.storm and get Enter the Infinite if you don't get EtL just cast 1 mana sorcery's like Serene Remembrance and Lay of the Land to look for it

have Borborygmos Enraged in the deck and put him as the only card left in your library from Enter the Infinite cast a creature which will bring borb into play and discard every land you drew from Enter the Infinite (which should be enough) with borb and win

is this combo standard capable? discuss.

It's slow, but possible. More so with G in the deck. Only thing that stops it is bad luck and counters. But game 2 it can be stopped so a second win con is needed. Dispel would most likely be required in the deck to stop that. Long as it's your only instant spell in the deck basically. And a way to refresh your deck might be nice in case something happens.

the main thing would be luck cause if they go to counter anything except the casting of Possibility Storm they have to spin the luck wheel to see if they get a counter spell that is still useable (as in syncopate would be rendered mute cause you can only cast the card without paying its mana cost and that means a Syncopate for 0

First game, nobody. Second game, Everyone smart enough to figure out what your plan is.

True true, is there some sideboard option that could transform it though? I'm thinking some kind of Laboratory Maniac jank or something that would let you win in a combo'ey fashion but isn't Possibility Storm dependent.

you can use Possibility Storm to cheat out bigger creatures like Giant Adephage Tromokratis and Worldspine Wurm

Too much work. I love the card for its craziness, but I wouldn't try to win off it.

Every control deck ever will counter Possibility Storm. Just stop and think. all x spells become useless - making Syncopate and Sphinx rev alike completely useless. Trying to remove it with Detention Sphere could back fire terrible (unless they only run D-Sphere for Enchantments) and counter spells could turn into divination.

and i would counter it even if i dont run Syncopate or Sphinx's Revelation in my control deck simply because its way to bothersome to play with it out on the field.(i can play around it but still)

and i aggree on another wincon. and while Dispel would do the trick most of the time i run Counterflux

@amishrambo yes ive seen that version. Elvish Mystic with storm turned into a Worldspine Wurm

and it was quite funny seen the face of my opponent when i turned Hero's Downfall into a Far / Away bouncing the wurm to his hand making it unplayable.
