Tokens that is! Tokens here! Tokens there! They are everywhere!
The question today though for something that I've been wondering for a while is what people think are the best token decks, synergies, combos, or bombs for the frisky armies of which we love and hate so much? Are you for Jeskai tokens that run the strong Jeskai Ascendancy combo to maximize on boosting the horde of wimps to godhood or maybe you're more of a Mardu token man, who uses the tokens with large bombs such as Brutal Hordechief or Butcher of the Horde to rip your foe a new one? Heck maybe you have some sort of token deck that doesn't even fall under the two? I'd like to hear it! I've always wanted to build a token deck anyway and I don't feel discouraged just because of some silly sweepers or Virulent Plague! So let me here what you have to say!

spyroswiz29, I do get what you mean there. What does Jeskai tokens have aside the Ascendancy though to add to the mix? What are their advantages if you don't mind me asking? I am just trying to get a feel for everything personally. I know Mardu grants you access to Sorin, Solemn Visitor and hand disruption through Despise and Kolaghan's Command. The only thing I can think of for Jeskai tokens is both Mantis Rider, Jeskai Ascendancy, and Anticipate for draw power and easy triggers. Plus Jeskai has access to blue which does grant them counter spells to deal with sweepers. Hmmm... but I don't know honestly. I think Mardu has the stronger lead right now.

Actually now that I think about it... they do get access to Narset Transcendent for rebound on your token generation and allow into draw. Plus you can just use Narset, Enlightened Master as a means to just flood the board and dig through your deck at an alarming rate.

Jeskai Ascendancy gives you the benefit to buff your tokens by playing spells. If you have like 3 tokens and you play 2 spells, they become 3/3.Also, blue gives you Treasure Cruise that can refill your hand.

spyroswiz29 Well I can defiantly see the value in that. I'll give it more thought in that respect. It'd be pretty awesome to swing with Narset, Enlightened Master, hit into a Treasure Cruise, Hordeling Outburst, or even Narset Transcendent. Still though I feel you are far more vulnerable to sweepers in Jeskai tokens then Mardu tokens who have larger bombs. That's just me though. Though frankly I think both have some really, really exciting builds for both of them

Naya Tokens Top 8 PTQ is the deck i've been piloting for a long time and its done me wonders. Its such a fun deck and few people see it coming. I love it and its won me a couple FnM's and has really good matchups against everything save. Abzan Aggro and Mardu Warriors, but they're still really fun games.

Ragon_Wolfbane take a look at this boros token take that uses Great Teacher's Decree as a finisher.

Did everyone forget about Foul-Tongue Shriek and Harsh Sustenance? They work so well with tokens!

Fruik tokens is what I have been running with good success. 3-2 last week and 3-1-1 last night. Shamanic revelation And xenagos, the reveler help you abuse the amount of creatures you put out. Then there is descent of the dragons, hornet queen, and crater's claws. Which do stuff or make More tokens then just an outburst or fodder! It's great fun!

If you wanna try mardu tokens consider running Tymaret, Murder King, Outpost Siege, Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury, Secure the Wastes, Sorin, Solemn Visitor, Butcher of the Horde, Elspeth, Sun's Champion and Dictate of Heliod

I think with token decks you can't forget about the card that lets you shock someone every time a new token comes into play...Purphoros, God of the Forge. He, I believe, allows you to push any real token strategy over the top because he can deal direct damage to a foe without the need for them to get through to deal damage, and he can offer a team-wide pump UeoT. I honestly think no token deck is complete without him in there.

Over-run I think would be the best way of expressing it.

ChiefBell You're right.
tempest Yeayeayeayea hohohoho!
bretters that does sound really interesting. I never thought about it that way. Though the issue with a deck like that is that when rotation comes around you lose Xenagos, the Reveler and Hornet Queen which does stink a lot. Though the idea would be pretty dang awesome.
DrLitebur oh heck yeah. He's an awesome god and blows the heck out of your foe. I'd sideboard him if I was running any deck with red in it for token spawn so I have a way to deal damage even if they use sweepers or Virulent Plague. I love him for his bursts of damage. It'll be a shame to see him go though as I'm kind of thinking about rotation already. I know it's a little early, but eh I want something that'll stay in till the end of the year at least. At least we have Outpost Siege
darkblur, oh the bombs for Mardu tokens are awesome! I'm hoping for some zombie power in origins to give us a bit of extra token spawn. It does also give us access to discard like Kolaghan's Command or Duress and Despise. Along with any other discard effects that will be in origins soon.

Rotation is still a few months away... I don't care... And the cards for my gruul tokens deck are not expensive

There's couple of token decks that use Jeskai Ascendancy as finishing out there. Also, Mardu tokens with Hordeling Outburst and Butcher of the Horde was a thing when Khans of Tarkir came out. I believe that a Jeskai Tokens deck would be a thing, since is very good against aggro decks.
