If Brainstorm were in standard...
...how awesome (or unawesome) would that be?
...how would standard change?
...is it possible?
Any cantrip with a decent effect attached onto it is generally good, especially Brainstorm . However we would not get to see the full power of this card without fetches, but scry interaction is not bad. In any case I think something like Ponder or Preordain would ultimately be more useful in standard.
How would it change? I have hardly any idea, maybe mono-blue devotion becomes the top deck?

Without a reliable shuffle mechanic in Standard, it's just another cantrip. You basically have to have Thassa, God of the Sea in play to make it viable, just so you can get rid of one of the "bad" cards each turn.
It wouldn't ruin Standard at all. It just might slow it down. It would put a new card on the Modern ban list, though.

Nooooooooo
Although, to be honest, Brainstorm wouldn't be as good as in other formats. Sure, control would be A LOT better, but combo is the deck that thrives the most with Brainstorm . Regardless, the card is just too good. Being able to hit all the right draws consistently makes blue overpowered. So to answer each question:
Awesome for control players, really terrible for everyone else and the health of the format as a whole.
Once again, more control decks. Aggro wouldn't do too hot.
Nope. nopenopenopenopenope
