Immerwolf and Huntmaster, together

I run a deck with Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip and I have been having a lot of people telling me to add Immerwolf. I believe that Huntmaster's power comes from him being able to constantly flip back and forth. Were Immerwolf will stop that but at the same time I do get 2 3/3 bodies verses 2 2/2 and eventually get a 5/5 trampler that doesn't get weaker later verses a 4/4 trampler were later I can get another 2 life and another 2/2 body.

What are your thoughts on using Immerwolf with Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip?

Just incase link to the deck When night falls werewolves descend upon Ravnica

Having both Immerwolf and Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip is actually pretty good. It gives Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip more power and makes each swing with him that much more painful. I've managed to win several games with them two out alone. This is all my opinion of course on the two.

If you have Mayor of Avabruck  Flip running in there too, things can get pretty ridiculous.

If you have Mayor of Avabruck, then that would allow you to run 2 immerwolves an 3 huntmasters which would be optimal, because they wouldn't conflict as often when you want Huntmaster to flip.

Without mayor you would want 3 immerwolfs and 3/4 Huntmasters.

Avoid 4 immerwolfs an 4 huntmasters combos like the plague with or without mayors, as 4 of each is very bad because of how much they would conflict.

I would probably just not run Immerwolf, as he doesn't let huntmaster or mayor transform at all (both are human werewolves)

That enchantment that gives your werewolves trample and +1/+0, and you can sacrifice it to regenerate your werewolves would be good. Anyone remember the card I am trying to think of?

I think that would be way better in your deck than Golgari Charm.

Also you should definitely mainboard Searing Spear over Skullcrack

Huntmaster is not at his full potential with immerwolf. he is the only werewolf that benefits form flipping often.

He can flip to his werewolf Self. Not flip back. Sometimes a good thing. lol

You want him to flip back for more life and a creature though, and then back again for more damage.

Okay good glad to see some others on my side of this I was beginning to think I was crazy for abusing his flip abilities.

As for the couple of card suggestions I like Golgari Charm better because it has more uses and is an instant to help with the flipping of werewolves.

And I probably will switch back to Searing Spear over Skullcrack. It was main boarded because there is just one guy at the shop I always end up fighting against for first and he just loves using his Sphinx's Revelation. Plus all the Thragtusks in standard still. x.x

I personally like both of them together, but my deck doesn't entirely rely on the Huntmaster's flip mechanic. He's amazing when I can get him regardless of an Immerwolf that keeps him as a Werewolf, or Mayor of Avabruck  Flip that flips alongside him. Often times I'm almost just as happy to get a Kruin Outlaw  Flip as I am a Huntmaster, though.

Also hate to this, but Werewolf is a barely competitive tier 2.5 deck. I spent $150 to $300 for ever since werewolf came out trying to make werewolf into a tier 1 deck. The closest I came was a GRU build that took 4th place at a extremely competitive FNM, an that destroyed wolf run an Delver an zombies. If your consistently top 3 Ing in FNM with werewolf, then its because your FNM is weak. Even Brian Kibblers 16th world ranked pro perfectly constructed and played werewolf deck only finished as high as 16th place at one of the pro world tour events

Wolfir. Silverheart and immerwolf an cavern of souls helped werewolf a lot, but not enough to run werewolf a a stand alone tribe without any outside help.

If someone really wants to run werewolves, they should not run more then Mayor, Daybreak Ranger, Immerwolf, Instigator Gang, Huntmaster, Wolfir Silverheart, Clone, Pilgrims, 3,4 mizzium mortars, 3 Garruk Relentless, 3 moonmist, 3 Full moons rise, 3 rangers guiles, an a hell of a awesome, best sideboard ever.

Otherwise it better to just run Mayor, Huntmaster, Silverheart, immerwolf in a Naya humans, wolf, werewolf shell build with Silverblade Paladin, Ulvenwald tracker, Pilgrims, an a awesome sideboard
