Is Burning Vengeance dead?

Standard forum

I'm wondering...is it a dead strategy since there is so little support for it outside Innistrad block, or is it possible for a Burning Vengeance deck to still compete?

To compete that might be hard. I mean you'd have to have plenty of flashback cards, and plenty of cards to buy your time. Snapcaster Mage still helps a lot, but all-in-all, I've torn through the 2 Burning Vengeance decks I've went up against, and i used B/G Zombies. So they weren't insanely good as was. The two decks in my Meta never even place, so i'd say No.

The format I'm considering is Standard, do you think it's feasible somewhere else Epoch?

My Burning Vengeance deck is called The Lich's Vengeance but I'm wondering if it has what it takes. It doesn't need the lich to win but it gets a lot stronger when he's out.

I was just wondering because this is probably better suited to the forum for the format you're most concerned with.

I'm not as well-versed in Standard as I once was, but with the existence of cards like Rest in Peace , you're probably going to be fighting an uphill battle. Like you said, there's little support for the core strategy because you're pretty much limited to Innistrad for your primary spells. You could try playtesting your deck against some of the popular decks in the meta to see if you even stand a chance.
