Is It Possible to Run a Successful RDW Deck with Goblins and No Rabblemaster?

The reason I ask is because I have a tourney tomorrow, and I want to know if going the attrition game would be easier than using a few good creatures to beat face. I've curved with my deck really well, but it almost ALWAYS can be easily destroyed too quickly than it should be. I don't have the money, or the want, to purchase an entire playset of the Rabbler, so is there still a way for someone to make it work?

Yes. Standard RDW has a ton of variety between decks. Just don't go ham on Dragon Fodder and Hordeling Outburst if you're going to drop the rabble.

TheDevicer So, how do I know if I would be going overboard with the token drops?

I feel like these tokens combined with Foundry Street Denizen would be SO JUICY, so it's kinda why I asked. XD

Well, the variant you're running has the Akroan Crusader's pumping out tokens. Most decks these days drop the hammerhand/mantle/crusader/Titan's Strength combo. You're quite invested in creatures atm. Run something like 22 creatures. Consider Goblin Heelcutter. From experience at local shops, the decks running mainboard Eidolon of the Great Revel tend to do well. The thing with the rabble is that he's a nutty card in matchups you do well in and not that great vs bad matchups. I'm also not a huge fan of Titan's Strength.

Hordeling Outburst is a busted card, with or without rabblemaster. And dragon fodder is great. Both work very well with Foundry street denizen and both are amazing with Atarka's Command.

If you are dropping rabble, think about running Goblin Heelcutters.

Edit: If i wasn't clear enough, outburst should be a 4 of in any red aggro deck in standard, regardless of the shell. If you could run eight, you would be running eight. Since you can't run eight, running 3-4 dragon fodder is correct.

only problem with going wide only is Anger of the Gods, Drown in Sorrow, and to some extent Bile Blight neuter you to the point of no return.

Goblin Rabblemaster master also dies to these, but 1-2 swings from him can be worth 2-3 turns with the token masses.

you want speed, but also want resiliency in RDW. i would definitely tweak it so you can survive the t3-t5 board wipes which you will certainly face game 2-3 against most decks.

Goblin Heelcutter...problem solved.

I don't blame you. I can't commit to buying them knowing they rotate out soon. I agree with the heelcutter comments above. I have only two rabblemasters in my Mono Red Aggro deck.

If you want to dodge Drown in Sorrow so much, I'd suggest looking into Obelisk of Urd. Playing that version simply requires 4 Rabbles tho, so there's that. Also, Collateral Damage solves your Bile Blight issue.
