Anyone else think Monastery Swiftspear is a better choice for Jeskai Tempo than Seeker of the Way?

I mean...you are looking to win as fast as possible. Wouldn't a T1 swing be a better way to accomplish this? I think it takes better advantage of the "land, go" decks. You can get in at least 2 solid swings before they even get going.

Am I looking at this all wrong?

Yeah, just a little. Your lifegain off the seeker is what is going to get your ass out of the grindy matchups because you have no other real form of it in the deck. If you wanted to go Jeskai Aggro, sure, but you'd still be using Seeker as a two drop. The card is actually bonkers, I promise.

Seeker is pretty great. Easier to attack into a Caryatid, can gain life to make racing difficult, comes down with more power to threaten a Rabblemaster, and allows you to play a Temple on turn 1.

Honestly, I'm using both in my deck, which granted, is far from finished ((The sadness of playing Jeskai when EVERYONE else in your meta plays jeskai as well)) and I've liked having both, they are both great cards.

Seeker of the Way is definitely better for the deck as it is. Monastery Swiftspear would force a shift into a much more aggressive play, and they you'd still use Seeker of the Way as a 2cmc, because it is just so good.

You run both...

Pretty much every deck has been 4 Swift and 3 Seeker

Monastery Swiftspear = Aggro
Seeker of the Way = Tempo

So, to answer your question.... Seeker of the Way is better in Jeskai Tempo.

If you wish to make the deck have less incremental advantage, and simply rush to get your opponent to 0, then Monastery Swiftspear is likely the better choice.
If you do that, you may want to look at other changes as well as you may not want the deck to become spread over 2 strategies.
Jeskai Charm for example, is not overly 'aggro'.... works wonders as tempo, as you can gain life, and slow their board state and card draw... but 4 damage for 3 mana is fairly poor quality aggro.

Monastery Swiftspear is a pretty good card for Jeskai Tempo to consider, but Seeker of the Way is better. I will say though, i have tested Swiftspear and it wasn't that great. I cut it.
