Let's take a look at and analyze the creatures wizards made to represent each clan, excluding the intro pack rare. Let's start with everyone's favorite/most hated...

Siege Rhino

As a 4/5, he is already incredibly resilient to a lot of removal. Continuing, upon entering the battlefield he has the most immediate and direct effect. Creating a six point life difference upon ETB is huge. Oh, and did I forget to mention the trample. This card is ridiculous. Next.

Mantis Rider

Hm, now what does this remind me of...oh yeah, Lightning Angel was a thing. This card takes that and sacrifices one thing for another, speed for resiliency. As a fairly easy to remove threat, it isnt the most resilient creature. However, by coming down on turn three with evasion and swinging this card can quickly end a game if not dealt with.

Butcher of the Horde

Still remaining incredibly powerful, so far all constructed playable, next up is this guy. 5/4 flying is a threat if I've ever heard of one. Potentially swinging for five in the air on turn four, if not dealt with he will kill you. His lifelink ability makes him especially potent, putting you out of the opponents reach quickly.

Savage Knuckleblade

Seemingly the most innocent of all of these, but potentially one of the most deadly and resilient. If played right, this card can be near impossible to get rid of. He can pump to get out of burn range, bounce back to the hand to avoid direct removal as well. He can play defensive and offensive, being able to attack for four as early as turn three with ramp. The only problem in current standard is he is competing with Courser of Kruphix and Goblin Rabblemaster for the three drop slot. Curse you Temur and all your quality creatures! Personally, I love this card and hope it sees more play.

And finally we have...Kheru Lich Lord . Ouch, and we were doing so well! Wizards almost made a creature set that were all playable, oh well. Still, let's take a look. The big issue with this card is it's mana cost of six, making him kind of difficult to cast. I see it as a very timmy friendly card, and could be very fun in a casual environment. For a cost of 2B, every upkeep you get to return a creature card at random from your graveyard to the battlefield. Oh, and it gains flying, trample and haste. That's pretty good, however the at random part is really inhibiting. Because you could be landing a Hornet Queen with the ability, potentially getting another 4 tokens in addition to the ones you already had, or...get an Elvish Mystic . This card really seems to fall short compared to the others, and it's power level could have been raised a bit. Unlike the others, I can't see this one seeing constructed play though I'd love to be proven wrong.

So, what is your opinion on this set of creatures? Which is your personal favorite, and do you play any of them. Also, is there anything you would have liked these creatures to have that they don't or vise versa. Personally, my favorite of the bunch is Butcher of the Horde because he's such a timmy fun card while being competitively viable. Also, his art is incredibly and very like old-school MtG art.

My personal favorite of the bunch in general is Savage Knuckleblade. I love the utility of this guy. But I don't play Temur.

But as far as which one is my favorite to put in a deck goes, I'm tied between Butcher of the Horde and Mantis Rider.

And as far as artwork goes, I'll pick the Mantis Rider.

And let us not forget Rakshasa Deathdealer . For a 2 drop who can then pump itself up and regenerate for very cheap. Depending on how you ramp, this can be swinging as a 6/6 on turn 3.

I play Temur and absolutely love Savage Knuckleblade . I pump him to attack or block then I yank him back to my hand to avoid Mardu removal. The versatility of this card is amazing!

As a Jeskai Tempo player, I love Mantis Rider . But my favorite overall is probably Butcher of the Horde . Sure it dies to Stoke the Flames and other removal but a 5/4 on turn 4 isn't bad. And if you layed down a turn 3 Goblin Rabblemaster then you are swinging with that big bad demon on turn 4!

Rakshasa Vizier seems the better representative for Sultai and all its delve. The deeathdealer is even better then the Lich. I would say the rhino is probably the most played in my area and annoyingly so. Followed by the rider and finally the knuckleblade and demon share playtime at the bottom of the list. All the clans made out fairly well in the creature department EXCEPT sultai. Sure you can use cards from other sets to help out but that group took a good screwing.

Dalektable I didnt know that about the Vizier. I was in Saudi when the pre-release went down. I did read that you would exclude those in the first line though. :O Favorite art is mantis rider.Really well done. Card i will use the most is the rhino. I bought a playset of the demon after i returned home with the intentions of eventually building something to abuse him but i am really enjoying the junk available to the abzan wedge so there he sits in my binder waiting for his chance to shine along with the 4x narosets. (I know it is supposed to be a trading card game but i dont trade shit. I am a paper hoarding bastard.) Back to the point. If you are playing Temur i think the knuckleblade is a must. My only complaint about this set(because it is the best i have seen since i returned to the game) is that Sultai got so badly out gunned. I mean dredge is sweet and all but come on a six CMC creature that( i agree with you) will not see constructed play. My hopes are that when the next set comes out that this clan will get some tools that will help them to catch up to the rest. It may even look like that set is favoring sultai when in fact it will just level the playing field. Then again i could be wrong about that.
