Let's get Colossus of Akros out by turn 4

Colossus of Akros is one of my favorite creatures in Theros simply because he's so intimidating. So I've been trying to come up with standard decks that get him on the board and monstrous at least by turn 6.
Here's what I have so far - http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/shadow-of-the-colossus-18-09-13-1/
A turn 3 Crypt Ghast with the right amount of swamps could get him out turn 4, but I'd like to crowd-source some ideas.
Ooh, ooh, turn 1 Forest , Elvish Mystic , turn 2 Forest , BTE x4 then Voyaging Satyr plus another Elvish Mystic . Turn three, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx , tap plus the forests for 11 mana, then untap with voyaging satyr, and pay both mystics plus the shrine and tap for another 11, so you have 22 mana, then tap for colossus and then monstrous him :D

If I ever saw that happen KingSorin I would probably just concede the match and give all my cards to my opponent. Anybody who pulls that off deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.

I would too, as you need 11 cards by turn 3, so it's impossible to pull off...

Just drop one of the BTE's and it's still enough mana, right?

I'm confused how you got Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx tapping for 11, I get 3 when I do the math and then re tapping for 3 giving you a total of 6 mana. what did I miss?
I do agree that green creature ramp seems to be the way to go with this though.
T1 Forest
,Elvish Mystic
T2 Forest
, Elvish Mystic
, Voyaging Satyr
T3 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
, play a Voyaging Satyr
, Pay 2 tap for 4, untap, pay 2 tap for 4 giving you 6 to send on another Voyaging Satyr
and a Karametra's Acolyte
T4 you will be able to tap the land 3 times for 6, the Karametra's Acolyte
for 6 and the 2 forests and the 2 mystics for a total of another 4
giving you 28 mana T4 and you only have to have 10/10 cards be the right card at the right time if you are on the play and 10/11 if you are on the draw.

I think you missed the four Burning-Tree Emissary on turn 2.

I saw him say 4 BTE but I was unaware of what it was which is why I said I was confused. I figured I had missed something like that. Thank you for explaining that BTE is Burning-Tree Emissary . KingSorin's is a bit faster and even minus one Burning-Tree Emissary is enough mana T3 and achievable if you are on the draw.
If you build one deck with all the mana dorks and the Burning-Tree Emissary then you could probably get him out T5 and monstrous T6 a good portion of the time until your meta catches on and just kills all the ramp.

Would be funny though, pff mana dorks what are they gonna....shit.

Dropping 1 BTE reduces it by 4 mana, 2 for each nykthos tap, so no, you're 2 off. If you drop the second mystic, you're 1 off, which is a bit better.

I built a similar deck All Hail Sedge Scorpion, the Storm Crow of Theros!. One card I recommend using is Axebane Guardian . Even though I only have 11 defenders (including the Colossus), he's still an awesome ramper. I believe the fastest combo I've pulled off with the Colossus from all the playtests I've done is:
T1- Forest, Elvish Mystic
T2- Forest, Axebane Guardian
T3- Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx , Sylvan Caryatid , Axebane Guardian
T4- Forest, activate Nykthos for 4 mana, drop Colossus of Akros , Alpha Authority on Colossus
T5- Tap both Guardians for 4 mana each (total of 8) plus 2 Forests for Colossus's Monstrosity cost, swing.

Wait, yes it could be done. Thought he costed 10... That's only his monstrosity, so I can get 18 mana by turn 3. Woot.

you only need 18, he casts for 8 and monstrous for 10.

Yeah, so watch out all you junk jund bant gruul naya midrange blitz control aggro players. Time for some old-school ramping. Into a card that feels a lot like marit lage.

Crypt Ghast is an interesting way of doing it, but since he's a 4-drop you'll need something to ramp into him anyways. With all the "Devotion Rampers" coming out, I'd want to stick with one color, so probably Green. Here's a pretty unrealistic t3 drop:
t1: Forest , Elvish Mystic
t2: Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx , Burning-Tree Emissary (using Mystic & Forest), Burning-Tree Emmissary,Karametra's Acolyte , Elvish Mystic
t3: If I'm doing my math right, emphasis on the if, you now have 16 mana for turn 3 (7 devotion x 2 "Devotion Rampers" + 2 Mystics; other lands for Shrine). Forest, then summon two Colossus of Akros .

Just realized you could easily pull of the Monstrous on t3 if you sac the first Shrine after tapping for mana and play another one instead of playing a Forest. I think this would equal 20 mana.

I like the monogreen version of it, however what options are there for card draw in the next standard? It may not be crucial, but being able to draw cards can help us out.

The absolute best that I could come up with for the fast Colossus of Akroas is:
T1: Forest , Elvish Mystic
T2: Burning-Tree Emissary (from Forest and Elvish Mystic) x 4, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx using the 2 mana from the last BTE to activate it. This gives you 9 Green mana, Colossus of Akros .
T3: Forest , activate Nykthos with the forests giving you 9 mana, tap the elvish mystic to make a total of 10 mana, Monstrous Colossus of Akros and attack with it and all the BTEs on turn 3 attack phase to WIN.

As far as drawing cards goes after you have brought a monstrous colossus on turn three, four, or five you could always use Warriors' Lesson to pull your hand back.
