Hey guys! I have decided to compile a list of the top 50 cards in standard, and I wanted to show you guys the final list. Do you think it's completely wrong? Relatively right? Maybe I got it almost completely correct? Well, it's for you guys to discuss in the comments below! Feel free to call my list out and tear it to shreds if you so wish. Go ahead an discuss it! Here it is:
Top 50 Standard Cards 50 Plasm Capture 49 Sire Of Insanity 48 Notion Thief 47 Sublime Archangel 46 Wolfir Silverheart 45 Hellrider 44 Tragic Slip 43 Rakdos Cackler 42 Experiment One 41 Putrefy 40 Avacyn's Pilgrim 39 Arbor Elf 38 Geralf's Messenger 37 Think Twice 36 Cartel Aristocrat 35 Flinthoof Boar 34 Unburial Rites 33 Deathrite Shaman 32 Vexing Devil 31 Warped Physique 30 Centaur Healer 29 Sorin, Lord of Innistrad 28 Searing Spear 27 Burning-Tree Emissary 26 Blood Artist 25 Gravecrawler 24 Frontline Medic 23 Augur of Bolas 22 Supreme Verdict 21 Prime Speaker Zegana 20 Thalia, Guardian of Thraben 19 Lingering Souls 18 Silverblade Paladin 17 Azorius Charm 16 Farseek 15 Olivia Voldaren 14 Loxodon Smiter 13 AEtherling 12 Obzedat, Ghost Council 11 Domri Rade 10 Advent of the Wurm 9 Angel of Serenity 8 Bonfire of the Damned 7 Falkenrath Aristocrat 6 Thundermaw Hellkite 5 Voice of Resurgence 4 Boros Reckoner 3 Restoration Angel 2 Thragtusk 1 Sphinx's Revelation
No Jace, Architect of Thought ? I would put that in over wolfir and ahead of Domri Rade . That is just my opinion lol

My Top 10ish:
1 Sphinx's Revelation
2 Thragtusk
3 Voice of Resurgence
4 Angel of Serenity
5 Domri Rade
6 Aetherling
7 Supreme Verdict
8 Boros Reckoner
9 Sire of Insanity
10 Bonfire of the Damned
All of these have profound effects on the board state and can change the state of the game, or allow the person playing it to pile value onto them to change the game immensely. With aggro becoming more restricted to RGw, I think that Smiter, Restoration Angel, Falkenrath Aristocrat, Olivia Voldaren, and Thundermaw Hellkite take a backseat here.

Ok, hold on. I swear I had Huntmaster of the Fells Flip , Snapcaster Mage , Geist of Saint Traft , AND Champion of the Parish in the original list...

Lets make some edits...
Kick out the last four cards and put Champion of the Parish at 28, Huntmaster of the Fells Flip at 5, Geist of Saint Traft at 14, and Snapcaster Mage at 13.

The only one I don't think has any place on the list is Vexing Devil . People have wised up and don't play it in standard these days.
Cards that are missing that haven't been mentioned yet: Mizzium Mortars , Ghor-Clan Rampager , Far / Away , Turn / Burn and Dissipate . Those are seeing a lot more play and have a larger impact than some of the lower ranking ones you have listed.
Also I can understand not wanting to have dual lands take up the top slots (and let's face it they would, standard is the way it is today because of the mana bases), but there's a lot of utility lands that are not being represented: Cavern of Souls , Gavony Township , Kessig Wolf Run and Nephalia Drownyard .

i like your list overall, although i think that you underestimate the power of Sire Of Insanity , it totally screws people over. could easily be swapped with Vexing Devil .

I'd put Voice over Reckoner, as it is good against both aggro AND control.

Eh, I may just be hating against voice. I kind of don't like it.
@Slycne: oops! Forgot to mention, this is a nonland list, and I think Vexing Devil is being played in some RDW decks.

KingRabidRabbit Not a single RDW deck that's top 8'ed in the last 2 months is running Vexing Devil , data - MTG Top 8 for RDW. It's really not seeing play any more these days at all.

Huh! I suppose your right! Ghor-Clan Rampager is seeing a lot of play, and is a very powerful card. I think that will come in for Vexing.

Seriously though, no Liliana of the Veil ? She's a one-card control machine that needs an answer immediately (aka, Searing Spear ). Otherwise, you're hosed

AEtherling has to be in the top 10 of anyones list in my opinion, it seems like the best wincon blue has in standard right now. I have quite a few times used my AEtherling to swing for 8 unblockable then exile after combat to use him as a blocker, which I also abuse by declaring him as a blocker then exiling him before damage is resolved so no damage goes through. Get more than one of these guys out and people start facepalming. Very nice list(s) though I always love these types of topics, they are great for getting ideas out there.

I think that the list looks pretty good. I won't get into what you missed that was already mentioned. We all know Snapcaster, Lili of the Veil, Huntmaster, etc belong here. I agree, Vexing Devil can go away...he is a burn spell at best, and thee is so much life gain available in standard right now that 4 damage is not much. People use Orzhov Charm to willingly do effectively the same thing. That being said, Blood Baron of Vizkopa would be on my list. With so many multi-color decks/creatures running around right now, there is a good chance that you will run into white and/or black creatures in a build. Useless...this guy have LIFELINK, pro red, pro black, and the potential to FLY as a 10/10. That is conditional, yes, but he has been doing VERY well for what I have been running lately with b/w midrange. I am going to go ahead and turn it into a Junk build...but I am getting off topic.
Good list...I would add the Blood Baron to it. Also, Garruk Relentless Flip and Garruk, Primal Hunter are one many armies. I think they could have a place here. I am pleased to see Sublime Archangel on here, but I am the only person I know that uses her. She is part of my w/b machine, and paired with a few Lingering Souls or a miracle Entreat the Angels she is a force to be reckoned with. I normally swing for about 11-12 with here and activate my Vault of the Archangel ...BOOM 22 point life differential. I have said enough. Nice list.

Hehe, thanks you guys. I'm pleased to see that many people's lists are just variations of mine! And please take in to account that Snappy, huntmaster, and geist are really all on this list.
Yes, I see that Liliana is a powerful card, and figured going into this that she would be one of the most controversial card. The main thing that's holding me back is that not many decks are using her, and if they do it's always as a 2 of or something. She sees more play in modern jund decks. I do agree that she probably does deserve a spot in here, I'm just not sure how high. Plus, I may make a new version of this list.

The Baron needs to be answered or he gets big and fast. All the good removal is blackish so he is immune. It's hard to deal with him

Vexing Devil is not in the top 200 even, it should not be there. Searing Spear should be in the 10-20, and Burning-Tree Emissary should be in the top 10. Other than that, good list.

Dude, no one runs Liliana because she's expensive. And she's expensive because shes so good. Honestly, in standard, if you're running black, you can run her. She's even better in reanimator, or golgari for examples.

Abrupt Decay , Selesnya Charm , Lilianna of the Veil, Rakdos's Return and Huntmaster of the Fells Flip should be in here! nice list overall though
