Manifest and Abilities (rule question)

Just a question about Manifest.Let us say a card has an activated ability like, say, Merciless Executioner and this card was manifested. Is he considered to enter the battlefield upon flipping face up, or does he just become face up without the ability because he is already on the battlefield technically? Sure I might know the answer but a clarification would be nice.

Etb triggers do not occur when flipping face up. It's still the same creature; its "state" has simply changed.

Btw, as Epoc will be sure to echo, rules questions should be posted in the q&a.

Also, I should point out that abilities like Merciless Executioner's are triggered abilities (you can tell by the words when, whenever, or at). Activated abilities require some sort of cost to be paid and are distinguished by a colon (:). Shaman of the Great Hunt is a good example since it has one of each type of ability.

Rules questions should be asked in the Q&A. Epochalyptik or ChiefBell should be here to more it to the BE.
