I just read this article by Conley Woods. In it he tries to give us keys for understanding and predicting the meta game in standard. An ever changing and fast moving format. This article is different from buffy's as in it doesn't describe the meta game, but understand how it changes.
buffy helps us understand some of the current metagame here.
Using both together should help us prepare for our future tournaments.

It was a good article for sure. It's SOOO hard to predict what will be played though. Spring states was pretty easy for me as seeing things like Naya blitz, Junk Tokens, Jund Midrange, and Prime Speaker Bant were all over.
The ONE deck i didn't anticipate there as much was Bant Auras as I didn't think it would take off so early, and in fact that's the deck that won my state's tournament.
Oh, and the ONE TURBO FOG deck that was there I had to play against and was one of my losses...
