Mindreaver, Good milling potential?

i was looking at the card Mindreaver and was thinking if it had good potential to build a deck around. please tell me what you think about this card in the standard format.
Mill is just not viable in standard right now. Not enough ways to protect itself.

Not necessarily. I've run a "fun" mill deck (Alluring Abyss) that has angered many, made standard silver players cry, and has been banned from my casual play group. I use Mindreaver since Ravanica is still in Standard which means Hidden Strings is still Standard legal. It's probably the only real combo I can think of that makes him useful in standard. Other than that, he is also useful in Heroic Monoblue decks (if such thing exists) since you will be targeting him with spells, but it wouldn't be strictly milling, so probably not what you're looking for.

I'm seeing Dimir, Azorius, or Esper.
This tickles my brewing place. I will attempt this.

your never going to mill someone out just with that. Its not exactly a card you build around, just an accent card to a Phenax, God of Deception deck or the like.
