so blue white heroic is going top 16/top 8 in standard right now and is for the most part a budget build.
does anyonw know if minotaur tribals were ever a force on the pro tour throughout theros born and nyxs launch.

In general, only a few tribal decks are actually viable at the competitive level. Faeries, Goblins, Elves, and Merfolk are the real contenders.
Minotaurs just don't have any versatility or support. They're typically just beaters without efficiency or utility, which isn't what you want in tribal.

The problem with Minotaurs in Standard is that all of the good ones are 3 drops. With Boros Reckoner no longer in the format, I have a hard time seeing how it could be viable.

I made a deck around them that I really enjoy, not that it takes top 16 in pro-tour!
Here it is:

SCORE: 8 | 7 COMMENTS | 672 VIEWSYeah, sadly minotaurs has never been anything big, definitely not part of the meta. It's always nice to have a minotaur deck to play when you're bored though, as it doesn't require too much thought.

No, minotaurs were never really good. Maybe a fun little tribal deck, but nothing really else. Not all decks that are on a budget are good.
