Monastery Mentor in Esper Dragons

Hey I am playing esper dragons right now and I see mentor in the sideboard a lot. What mach-up is he brought in for? Thanks for the help
That. Mass removal is generally sided out in the mirror so something that can swarm the board becomes immensely valuable.
While not as powerful as Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver was back in the day, Monastery Mentor is certainly phenomenal.

Along with what TheHroth said, Mentors is also just a great option against Jeskai because of the way most Jeskai decks play out utilizing 1 for 1 removal with no board wipes except for some Radiant Flames in the side, in which the Jeskai deck will not bring in game 2, where you can literally play Mentor on turn 5 or 6 and be a phenomenal threat against them because Jeskai typically has issues with decks that can out draw them and go wide.
