Mono-white answers for Control?

I played mono-white earlier at FNM. Went 2-2 (Would have been 3-1, but made stupid misplays against another aggro deck), and besides my aggro loss, my other loss was Azorius control. Against it, I sided in 2 Ratchet Bomb for Jace, Architect of Thought , 2 Glare of Heresy for Elspeth, Sun's Champion , and 1 Pithing Needle for whatever was needed (Elspeth at the time). Are there any other obvious answers against controls that I may be missing?

I have Rootborn Defenses mainboarded. It's too good. But I don't recall having too many enchantment issues, mostly just countering and Planeswalkers. Flying over Elspeth's tokens with Cavalry Pegasus and some humans is the best way to get rid of her next to Glare of Heresy , and I was able to tick Ratchet Bomb for four before he even put Jace, Architect of Thought down. But it's so hard to win when I can't put anything on the field, and then he comes back with mass token spawning and hand advantage. I don't understand ];

Judge's Familiar can help beat out their counter-spells for you stuff allowing you to just keep the pressure. It would be really helpful if you'd link your decklist so we know what you already have.

I actually haven't put it up, but Ill go ahead and do that. Judge's Familiar would be great, actually.

I decided to mainboard Judge's Familiar over Rootborn Defenses , and am trying to find space for Rootborn Defenses in the sideboard now. Thank you guys, the Familiar totally slipped my mind :b

Theros Weenies, here we go! I've been trying to come up with a decent mono-white devotion style deck and this is what I've got. It really depends on weather you want to be more aggro, or mid-rangey to what you should be using.

@Stone_Munkee How do the Evangel of Heliod s work for you? I thought about trying those, but the cost is so high.
And it'll probably end up being midrange, but mostly aggro is what I'm going for. Solely because my local meta that I'm new to is comprised of decks that take a big poop on mono-red, which is what I've been running.

I've only been able to drop Evangel of Heliod once, not because it countered or anything, but I just never seem to find it. But the game it did drop, my opponent scooped after I finished counting my devotion (which was 13). We had stale-mated off his Elspeth tokens clogging up the field forever and I needed something to push through the last bit of damage. Turns out an additional 13 3/3's does the trick lol

Honestly I've just been messing around with it, and its hard to playtest when you never see the card. I just look at him as a slightly over-cost but more efficient Master of Waves as the tokens he makes don't die if he does.

Ah, that's true. I'd be afraid of the game ending before getting him down, haha.

Yeah that's an entirely real possibility, which is your goal. But then again, sometimes it's just out of your hands and the game drags which is when big drops come in handy.

probably some enchantment hate or wrath protection? the only ones coming up in mind is the tear side of Wear / Tear and Rootborn Defenses .
