Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar is amazing

Has anyone else been mucking around with this card?
It's a 5/5 or 6/6 when it comes out, and only gets bigger.
The Trample is amazing, but the Reach is even better.
It synergises well with Hashep Oasis, and is easy to return from the Graveyard.
It's been the Dominaria card which has surprised me the most, in Standard.
PS. Equip it with Blackblade Reforged for and yowza!!
It does look very interesting, but as I play control, it just doesn't seem good enough to play in a standard environment with Vraska's Contempt and even Settle the Score.

I noticed its abilities when it was announced, and now that I have a copy it's pretty insane. I love it and cant wait to see it in actual standard

I think it will get out-classed by creatures like Carnage Tyrant, Ghalta, Primal Hunger and Steel Leaf Champion

yeah Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar is a powerful card in all the right directions.
He grows bigger and bigger for each land you control both on the battlefield and in the graveyard so he can grow indefinitely and he has two powerful keywords Trample and Reach which makes him a nightmare to token decks and "evasion styled decks".
which in my opinion makes him a suitable creature in a ramp deck such as Hour of Promise styled deck which can include spells such as Grow from the Ashes and Thunderherd Migration.
Maybe a non dino curve topper in future meta.

I had not been brewing with it much, but certainly will now!

x12721 you can make that same argument against any Creature that isn't Hexproof.
Snivy__ you don't have to run it INSTEAD of those other Creatures. It offers things that they don't, like keeping fliers in check.

I pulled him in a sealed last weekend.
Got him out twice against my first opponent... both times he followed it up with Icy Manipulator... seriously... what were the odds?
So he didn't do much for me in that regard... but if he HADN'T been tapped down every turn i'm sure he woulda wrecked face.
Personally, I will be using him as a one of in my mono green stompy. Like someone said above there are a lot of EXILE effects being played in standard right now (Vraska's Contempt, Seal Away, Cast Out etc.) so I don't think he is a safe plan as a go to finisher. But I do love the reach, because most red decks can't exile him and Glorybringer is still a pain in the arse and he can sit and block Lyra Dawnbringer most of the time, but white of course can get rid of him permanently.
He is easily sided out after game one if it looks too hard to keep him around.

Funnily enough I had already playtested this deck before you posted it, Jimmy_Chinchila!
That's because I have all the right people on my friends' list, so I get to see when they post a deck.
You're right, deck is rampy as hell.
LOVED playing it. Synergises beautifully with Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar.
Only have two suggestions for you:
Please add two Hashep Oasis ASAP.
Put a Sideboard together which has some Blossoming Defense and Heroic Intervention in it.

I looked at the deck and immediately thought, this looks like a blast to play. I have some questions though.
The deck (like most green decks) isn't very interactive. What happens when you board stall? Is Multani your only real win-con?
Forgive me if I am overlooking something obvious, these aren't criticisms, I really love mono green and am just curious how others are dealing with problems I commonly run into :)

LittleBlueHero game 1 there isnt much besides attacking with large things, Sideboard helps a bit but mostly just same concept but with more interaction and protection.
I put in a Walking Ballista, something nice to dump all the extra mana into that can get over stalled boards.
The solution might be to splash for Fling as Multani gets so big.
Being able to block a every other creature in the format, particularly a Hazoret or Lyra Dawnbringer like LittleBlueHero mentioned, is super clutch.

The idea is more of Multanis potential to be busted in the right shell, which might not be my idea, I think that more the idea of thread.
Maybe could be be good with splash for Shalai, Voice of Plenty.

T3 Shalai into T4 Nissa VF into T5 Multani with Nissa Ult , especially if you have maybe a Steel Leaf Champion T2 after a T1 Llanowar Elves.
Or put Lyra Dawnbringer in the 5-spot and swap out SLC (too much G) for Grow from the Ashes and an extra land to hold up and Blossoming Defense for your T3 Shalai, Voice of Plenty
Land, Elf
Land, Grow, Land
Land, Shalai, Blossoming
Land, Lyra
Land, Multani to block their Lyra
Land, Urza's Ruinous Blast, swing for game.

LittleBlueHero with StuBi's Lime Legends we get around board stall three ways:
Overwhelming Trample of Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar plus Blackblade Reforged
Fliers equipped with Blackblade Reforged
The pseudo unblockability of Thorn Elemental

I've really wanted to play around with Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar since i saw it was announced. Been thinking about World Shaper and also Awakened Amalgam finally finding a use here.

I have only encountered the card once so far and that was at a launch day draft. I have to say I was impressed with the card even just from a limited perspective after facing an opponent with one. He got it as big as an 11/11 by the time he got through the board stall and killed me.
I know I will be using one in an edh deck led by Muldrotha, the Gravetide that features a land/self mill theme later on for sure.
